I think this may be the weekend where things start to sort themselves out. Will we find out who’s for real and who is taking a step back? Seems to be a lot of close matchups on paper. Come Sunday night, the season should be coming into focus. Should be fun to watch it unfold beginning with SB/Fla at 10am.

I agree. With most teams having five or six games under their belts and starting to work out the kinks, this should be a turning point in the season

Nice little upset yesterday for the CU Buffs, although I think this is more a reflection of Vanderbilt getting a little too much credit for beating notre dame. Denver beats the Dores easily on Sunday and sends them back to Nashville 0-2 and out of the top 25.

Agreed. I didn't consider that an upset. Colorado consistently produces scrappy teams. They're rarely an easy out and part of the time in the top 25.

CO has a much better resume than Duke and IMHO they should be ranked higher Duke. It was rather silly that they weren’t ranked in the top 20 last week when they were 3-0. Now at 4-0 they should be a top 15 team.

Florida v stonybrook . Expect SB to get to a running clock before half 5-1 SB
4 yellow cards on Florida already 😳
Ok maybe no running clock. But def a SB dominant win.

Same old Florida - below average coaching with no idea how to attack a zone and little discipline with 6+yellow cards. They will likely end with more YC's than goals.

I was just watching and thinking: so little discipline.

How do you play an entire half trying to dodge through Stony Brooks zone ? It’s not like they haven’t been playing that zone exclusively for years. 2nd half Fla. dodging , drawing double and dumping to the weak side effectively. I’m sorry that’s just poor game planning by the Florida coaching staff. Stony Brook is really shooting smart, when they have an opportunity they cash in by shooting offside stick almost exclusively.

make that 7 and 11 total in the game. Personally, I haven't been watching closely the whole game so I don't know what the other 10 yellow cards looked like, but that last one could've been red

Edit: Looking back that was Heller's second yellow, so it was red anyway. Not that it made much of a difference

Heller has alway played aggressively. Game was even on fouls. Gators had 5 more dc than sbu. Saves were a large margin

Yeah, the fouls were pretty even. I counted 34 committed by SBU and 32 by UF, but YC's were a little more skewed towards the Gators 7-4. I haven't been following Heller's career, but "playing aggressively" and receiving yellow cards are not mutually inclusive. Heller has 6 yellow cards in 4 games and at least 1 in each game. I thought her second card, with 4 seconds left, in her own defensive third practically as deep as the GLE, was unnecessary and unsportsmanlike. Even if the SBU player had handed Florida the ball, there's no possible way they could moved the ball down the field and scored in 4 seconds. Yes, these women are competitive & yes, fouls like this have happened before and will happen again, but I'm not a fan of it.

Florida racked up at 2 YC with under 1 minute to play in their 2020 loss to Dartmouth. They were down 4 goals and the game was clearly out of reach. Not sure why any coach would allow this kind of play. Bad juju.

I’m thinking the BC-UNC game may want to switch venue to the football stadium . There are going to be a ton of fans trying to cram into their lacrosse stadium . Add in that it’s alumni weekend, no parking…no bathrooms, no locker rooms…seems like a prudent move . Just my opinion.
