It's always different when you live and die for a team -- you're much closer observers and the mistakes are more painful to see -- but from the perspective of a college lacrosse fan who wishes JHU well but isn't a Jays fan, I've been impressed with Hop: good mental toughness in withstanding an early Jax run and a 2-goal deficit at 4-2 Jax; good saves/rebound control by Marcille; solid Jays transition game and some nice finishes; Jays really getting after it on the ground balls; and maybe most importantly, the supposedly backup FOGO is crushing it tonight!

Worst I have ever seen on ESPN.

ChatGPT doing some camera work for the crew in Bristol?
That implies there is some sort of intelligence, artificial or otherwise, at work here. I’m not sure we can make that assumption.

The early miscues were pretty nauseating, but I'll chalk them up to first game jitters (for now). They've definitely settled in. But given recent history, they don't exactly deserve the benefit of the doubt there.

Excellent work on faceoffs. Better off-ball motion on offense.

Jacksonville needs to slide more.

The Peshko/ Phillips/ Collison midfield looks really good.

They do,

————————————

real good 1st game from Hopkins,

but if their (Jax’s) offense isn’t working, they’re not top tier
at all - their defense was my question coming into the season,
they’re 3 deep at goal - don’t know about Jax’s face off situation,

but maybe it was Hopkins that made Jax look bad.

Congrats to Chauvette and Phillips on their first career goals.

Impressed with how they settled in after the chaotic opening minutes. Marcille was lights out. Hope Jax improves so that this counts as a quality win.

Great day to be a Jay.

Marcille with 15 saves and a 0.682 save percentage.

Seven CTs.

Blue Jays win GBs 42 to 26.

Faceoffs 15-8 Hopkins.

Great effort and nice halftime adjustment.

Nice win for the Blue Jays!

Nice win for the Jays. Did I see that correctly that only 18 players saw the field?

Was just thinking that this win probably wasn't going to age as well as last year's did. Jax looked . . . not quite like world beaters. Great way to start the season though, especially given the gauntlet of a schedule. Hard not to get excited about Marcille and the possibility of above average goalie play.
