So my county is doing pretty well on shots -- 74% of 12+ folks are fully vaxed.

Funny, though, that when I go to Home Depot, Target, Safeway, Walmart, etc., the percent of mask wearers is a "little" bit less than the 26% it should logically be. More like 1-2% (at most) everywhere I go.

So the reason why (as so well put by Alabama's governor) us normal regular folks (and our kids) are going to have to start wearing masks again are because those forking unvaccinateds are letting us down.

Sure you have a choice to not take your free and safe shot. But if you choose that, then you have to follow the forking rules and wear a mask.

Instead, you spend your time not doing what you should do. And then you also complain about the rules that you don't even bother to forking follow. Don't Fauci me -- I've got ruy-iots!!

But I guess we should feel bad for you. It probably is pretty tough to mouth breathe with a mask on.

I did indeed!

My question becomes...
If we can mostly put this covid thing behind us by next spring...anyone up for a fanlax tailgate?
There are a few people around here that I owe a beer and/or stiff drink.
I would suggest a fallball game or tourney, but not sure it will happen...

Yep. Science would suggest nothing has worked. We should just go on about our business until it’s confirmed with more analysis. A global study is what we need. What have we got to lose? Back to work. This virus isn’t as big a deal as it is made out to be. Silly Japanese….let the fans in. What’s an Olympic Games without fans? Joe and Fauci in charge?
if we could only get millions of study subjects.

I say drop the vaccines, masks and social distancing because those things don’t seem to help. We shouldn’t do anything until we round up a few million people to run a controlled experiment on…..after we compile and analyze all the data, we should then decide what to do. This excess death stuff will get back to a normal rhythm.

2 or 3 years of study before we make any effort to coral the virus is probably the right balance at this point.

Ok but only as long as it's Republicans who fall into this category. Because Dems are smarter they'll keep getting the vax (and boosters if needed) along with precautions such as masking, hand washing, and social distancing. Soon enough they will be the only ones around and the virus will then disappear into history.

It's easy to avoid any responsibility when you obfuscate your intentions with "whatabout" this and that rare side effect that's a fraction of a fraction as deadly or debilitating. Your positions are killing people.

It's a sham and makes me puke. People are too polite to call you out, but you know what you're doing and they do too. dude. GTFO

Obviously this is an extremely volatile subject with deep feelings on both sides. The history of pharmaceutical companies in America has varied. Greatly helpful at some times, and greatly damaging at others. I just have a question—was it ever stated by the government or the pharmaceutical companies who produced the vaccines that they would be completely effective against covid—regardless of whether others got said vaccine around them? Or did they take a more reserved, well—we think it’s got a good chance to be effective stance?
