Argh. Even some of our losses lost. Cuse, Towson.

This is NO way to win a National Championship.

Shoot low, fellas. They’re riding Shetland ponies.

You're simply going to be a more effective shooter the more the other team has to worry about the other guys. You can be obsessive about dialing in your shot all you want, but if you can't get to good spots with your hands free on your own or through a great scheme and you aren't a beast athlete who doesn't need his hands free to be accurate, you aren't going to be a very successful shooter.
So.....you're alluding that Hop doesn't have the athletes (except, of course for Epstein) to create their own shots and get'em on point, right? So.... a better system would help the guys get hands free, eyes in aperture and result in better shots?

I suppose you're right, but I was satisfied that the Hop shooters had no less space and time than the PSU shooters. I can't blame the coaches, at least. Hop played well enough to have had a lead at the half, had the shots stung and a few bounces gone their way. Hop did NOT suck.

DI defenses are built to give an eye-blink at best to a shooter, and they're all pretty good at it. Across the board. Hop has always had an embarrassment of riches in the shooter sphere. Kids who sting a corner before you see the ball in their stick, half the time. This year, the shot goes but the cage isn't there.

Blame the kids, the recruiting process, the coaches, the program, the system, the town, the girls, the University brass, the cruelty of statistics.....I don't have a dog in this fight. All I can defend is my observation, which is the shooting isn't tight in the 2019 Hop games I've seen. The numbers bear me out on this, but I'd stand my ground even if they didn't. I seen wut I seen.

Man. Good thing Mt. St. Mary’s and Michigan won.

Delaware, Princeton, UNC and Rutgers all lost.

Why can’t our quality wins win?
Wow, how the mighty have fallen when Delaware (#1 FF in their history) is a so-called quality win.

Looks like the game won’t start until almost 8. It’s 7:08 and the board shows 45:43.

Right now UMD 4 shots, 4 goals.

Hopkins 1 goal, 6 shots.

There isn't an x's and o's scheme that will fix that. If you can't finish, you're going to lose a ton of games.

Zinn is in in the 1st quarter.
Secret weapon. Petro's been hiding him all year just for this opportunity.

I know the D is doing him no favors but Darby is just not seeing the ball at all.

Nice to see Zinn get an offensive shift. Two months late.

Odd. Their offensive schemes look just fine when their shooters actually hit the cage.

Great second quarter. Narewski provided a huge spark. Can’t wait to see how they blow this!

Oh come on, we should choose to be optimistic here... in the face of all evidence so far this season.
