That's info, not enforcement, dude.
My bad. My point is that there is a nexus between the DOL and child trafficking. Do you disagree? DOL is not a "law enforcement agency" unless I missed it......
That's my point. MSNBC mentioned only DOL, regarding enforcement.
No mention of FBI, DoJ or DHS, in their contortions to smear Acosta's appointment.
I haven't seen it.....Does Acosta head up the agency that has child trafficking oversight? yes or no?
MSNBC said "enforcing".
Researching and reporting information to inform U.S. foreign policy, trade policy, and cooperation initiatives;
-- Engaging with governments, civil society, and businesses to ensure that each does their part to make these unscrupulous practices a relic of the past; and
-- Piloting innovative technical cooperation strategies and building capacity in over 90 countries to eliminate the most hazardous and exploitative forms of child and forced labor.
-- ILAB engagement and technical cooperation initiatives to address the worst forms of child labor have made a critical difference in helping reduce the number of child laborers worldwide by 94 million over the past two decades. Collectively, ILAB projects have rescued and provided education to close to 2 million children and supported nearly 170,000 families to meet basic needs without relying on child labor.

More broadly, ILAB’s work to monitor and enforce the labor provisions of trade agreements and preference programs, which include prohibitions on child labor and forced labor, helps ensure fair competition and a level playing field for U.S. workers and businesses. ILAB’s efforts to eliminate hazardous and exploitative labor practices also respond to concerns of U.S. consumers that the imported products they buy should be made in a way that is consistent with their values.
DoJ is the enforcement agency for our child trafficking laws.
I don't care what MSNBC says.... I am asking you a question.
...& I posted what your link says DOL does. I don't see "oversight" buried in the verbage.

This thread strangely mirrors why we are where we are. With both, there are: 1- Political overtones. Overtones that seemingly overshadow the fact that 14 year-old girls, in numbers, were repeatedly raped. 2- Obfuscating and deflecting. Whether other agencies are involved with human trafficking or not is irrelevant. Acosta was delinquent in his previous role with relation to Human Trafficking, people were aware of this delinquency before he was appointed to be in his current position, and, within his current position, Human Trafficking is under his purview. And 3- A seeming lack of understanding of how over-the-top, ridiculously horrible this crime is. Not just innumerable children being raped, which is horrible enough, but people being aware and not just allowing this crime to continue but, in many cases, helping and joining Epstein in the rapes and, when the judicial system was forced to get involved, the wheels of justice gave all these people a pass. Over-the-top...

allegedly - those young girls are now well into their twenties, it will be interesting to see who comes forward or if Epstein falls on the sword. I say bring back the firing range and allow those girls that come forward to use assault weapons to finish the job. SARCASM[ON] That ought to nullify the gun issue at the same time. SARCASM [OFF/KINDA]

I also wonder if this ties into that tinfoil hat theory of high ranking officials that tend to get a black eye for some dumba$$ reason....secret club?

Yeah. Let's make it about Trump.
Why you would defend Acosta is stunning.

Trump hired him and ignored the facts and the optics. All part and parcel of the Clown Show that is Trump

This thread strangely mirrors why we are where we are. With both, there are: 1- Political overtones. Overtones that seemingly overshadow the fact that 14 year-old girls, in numbers, were repeatedly raped. 2- Obfuscating and deflecting. Show me where I defended Acosta. I'm pointing out how the MSM & many posters here are politicizing this & trying to hang it on Trump.
Acosta was confirmed by the Senate with 60 votes.

This case laid dormant for 8 years. What prompted SDNY to re-open a case which another Fed district had resolved ?

New evidence ? Attention focused on Acosta in his confirmation hearings ? # MeToo ? The Miami Herald report ?

All of the above ?
