In others words, on completely different days than the one outlined in the WB story, they appeared to follow protocol.

Great news. But that does nothing to address the specific events on other specific days that were described by the WB.

This is now a common tactic used by the Trump administration designed for mouth breathing Trump voters. "See? We didn't do anything bad on this specific random day. "Therefore", that means that we didn't do something bad on the actual day the alleged bad activity occurred."

It's like pointing out that Hopkins lacrosse didn't lose North Carolina last Sunday....hoping the listener doesn't catch on that yes, Hopkins lost...but the game happened on a Saturday.

This logic works on slow witted dogs and common houseplants. Smarter dogs and fancier houseplants catch on to this stupid game.

Or saying Navy didn't lose to Maryland last Saturday so as to suggest they won!
Wait a minute... who says Hopkins lost? ;)

It is killing Fauci. He is a show pony. Frankly they probably could have put him in charge with instructions to not talk about anything which might embarrass the administration before talking to them about it. He would have lived with this. He is not going to lie, but he understands politics and how to play the game. Trump doesn't like (trust) Fauci because they are both show ponies.

I suspect if Debbie Brix is let loose she will do just fine - most likely. Pence is being setup to be the fall guy. They will now throw Azar under the bus. It looks like he deserves to be.

According to Fox News 11 PM - HHS has confirmed the whistle blower story. No one refuting it.

They are slow rolling the story about Travis AFB and also the Vacaville case. Treating as two independent stories. Both given no priority. The meaning of the Vacaville patient not explained. Stock market crash is their big story. Blaming the crash on coronavirus, uncertainty due to dems and republicans not coming together. Dems fighting with Trump.

They are not downplaying the seriousness of the pandemic.

They are spinning the bad China meme. "Did it escape from a lab?" "Why is the CDC not being allowed in Wuhan?" "China wants to control the vaccine". Using conservative think tank guests and nut job Charlie Kirk to spin the tale.

Iran's mortality rate is way too high compared to the rest of the world. No body believes Iran has as few cases as they are claiming given the number of deaths they are claiming.

Not my call. The Hill, WP & CNN found the info worthy of reporting.

The workers the WB reported were reportedly assisting evacuees who tested negative & showed no symptoms.
Health officials said Thursday in a press conference that the Solano County patient was in the community for several days before initially showing symptoms.
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/coron ... 2020-02-27
from WSJ :
The complaint, which HHS said it was evaluating, focuses on some employees who work at the Administration for Children and Families, or ACF, an HHS division that handles programs such as Head Start and disaster emergency response and that performed functions at some of the quarantine camps. The U.S. repatriated Americans from China on planes chartered by the State Department in early February. They were subject to 14-day quarantines.

Employees didn’t receive prior safety training relevant to the California assignment, according to the person familiar with the complaint. One employee who declined to go to one of the quarantine sites said she was then reassigned, the person said. The employees weren’t tested for the coronavirus before they left two California quarantine sites, the March Air Reserve Base in Riverside and Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, and flew home, the person familiar with the complaint said. There is no evidence that any of the workers contracted or spread the virus.
https://www.msnbc.com/hardball/watch/ny ... 9577669757

federal officials "admonished" the staff members and deemed the complaint as a "nuisance."

Right. The free market it going to fix this.

You work for a company, right? Does the Federal Government cut your company multimillion dollar checks for R&D?

So to answer your ignorant and ridiculously uniformed question. THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER is who is going to develop the vaccine. They are going to pay for the R&D for it. Clearly you don't know: the last decade, every single newly approved FDA drug has gotten R&D funding from the American taxpayer. We pay them money, and because our Congress is so freaking corrupt, we don't charge BigPharma for this money..... so this means the risk is borne by the taxpayer, and Big Pharma gets 100% of the reward.

And because guys like you are too far gone with your insistence that BigPharma is operating in a free market? They get away with it.

You're letting a corrupt Congressman (think: Cory Booker) take your money, and give it to multinational corporations so that they can turn a massive profit.

Nice job!
small side effect A VACCINE WILL SAVE LIVES. Pharmaceuticals benefit BILLIONS of people daily.

But you should be happy that Bernie will eliminate all private companies. It'll be better.

Taxpayers won't pay for anything. Its all free.

Oh yeh he'll own your company too.

Ignorant and ridiculously uninformed?

Obviously according to your superior intellect and information the tax payer gets nothing for their investment.

Lets forgo the experienced researchers at the Pharmaceutial companies. You and your brother develop the vaccine.

Its easy just add money.

The vaccine will come out of Israel way sooner than later to the year proposed during presser.

And, Corona beer sales taking a hit is the epitome of I don't even know what!

If it is on every continent, why is it not pandemic?

He is not saying they get nothing. He is saying they get something they have already paid for once! We the taxpayer have paid for the R&D in most cases. We then get to pay for it again. We should only have to pay for the increment attributable to actual manufacturing cost, plus a small profit. This is pennies per pill, not dollars, in most cases.

Jim Malone wrote: Fri Feb 28, 2020 9:40 am The vaccine will come out of Israel way sooner than later to the year proposed during presser. - not unless they have had such a drug in testing for a while already - of which I am skeptical. The timeline Fauci gave is pretty aggressive based on my knowledge of the process. To speed it up you would have to take short cuts which compromise saftey and perhaps effectiveness.

And, Corona beer sales taking a hit is the epitome of I don't even know what! - really? I had not heard this.

If it is on every continent, why is it not pandemic? - we clearly already meet the definition. My understanding --> WHO however has not made declaration because of politics. There are legal agreements between countries which are triggered by such a declaration I believe.
Corona is my favorite beer on a hot day. Perhaps this will cause a drop in price. :D
