What's reasonable is that this comment might engender a response from ardent Maryland fans. Reese last won a championship in 2019, not in the dark ages or any meaningful lapse of time. In other words, she won the last championship held before BC defeated Syracuse last year. The evidence of "the game passing her by" is somewhere between infinitesimal and zero. You make a dumb comment, you should just own it instead of the shrill silliness with which you populate the Boards (e.g., "Who said the game has passed Reese by? Who said Maryland was done?").

I disagree. I didn’t use a question mark, but my use of the word “may” is key. It welcomes discussion/debate which may as well have been initiated with a question.
Five years—that’s a concrete answer. Ultimately that’s all I’m looking for—a little survey of opinions about Reese and the Terps. They are intriguing to me because they
are royalty in the lacrosse world, just like the Yankees in baseball and the Lakers in basketball.

You’re right that I didn’t use a question mark or frame the topic as a question—but that’s what it is for all intents and purposes. I intentionally and deliberately used the word “may” because I enjoy reading others opinions about Reese and Maryland. I enjoy discussing this great sport.
What are your thoughts on Reese and the Terps? How many seasons like the last two would you observe before you started to question Reese’s ability to coach at a championship level?

Chris Sailer has not been back to the final four for several years. I've watched the Tigers (I know that dreaded no use eye test) and there is absolutely no way I would say the game has passed her by.
Shelly Klaes won in 2018 does that mean the train is hurtling toward her and if she does not get back to Memorial day in the next 3 years the game has past her by? Silly imo.
What about Coach Corbett or Coach Adams both of which I think are good coaches ..........has the lacrosse train passed them by as well? Heck have they even gotten on the train according to the little box these coaches are being placed into?
KAH missed the train for 5 years until last year....did the sport pass her by so far that it actually caught up to her again?
It all seems like the infantile game of building people up just to tear them down at a later day. Silly imo.

That’s a good distinction, Bart. I would say pondering Reese and the Terps may be better categorized as coaches who once regularly challenged for the NCAA title and are no longer considered a real threat annually—like UVA coach Julie Myers, or Princeton’s Chris Sailer for instance. Too little time has elapsed to put Reese in that category obviously.

UVA 16 - JMU 15 tonight. They will probably play again in the spring so it should be another good game in the Commonwealth. The Dukes played everybody, not sure about the Cavaliers.

Would you say the talent pool is equal on the teams or does one have an advantage? Can you tell that from what you watched?
