Got a little tight at the end of that game for SB, Drexel. What a great Tilly of teams From areas with real classy people almost end in a fight! Don’t look now 10stone5 but I don’t think you can count out SB like that they looked solid and as we all know, CAA play is the most unpredictable. That 3 headed monster at attack for Del is a nightmare but excited to hopefully be there/tune in Saturday at 3:30.

It was a joke.
Stony Brook has played well this year.
I have Stony Brook and the Tigers at 2a and 2b in the CAA this year — and whatever happens in the finals,
I have those two as right up there with the Hens for next year owing to the top top players the Hens will be losing from this year.

NEWARK, DEL.—Anthony Gilardi is used to it. The Stony Brook head coach spent eight seasons as an assistant at Towson. He is familiar with the gritty, blue-collar, dirt-under-the-fingernails ethos of the Colonial Athletic Association. So, when the Seawolves joined the CAA this season, Gilardi provided the tools for their accelerated CAA learning curve.
It's been a nice welcome, sparked Thursday night by the No. 3-seeded Seawolves’ 13-10 victory over No. 2 seed Drexel in the CAA Tournament semifinals at Delaware Stadium.

Well done Hens, great season, represented the CAA well.
Once again, a CAA team proves a tough out in the NCAAs,
and especially, a tough out against the ACC,
Drexel in 2021 against Notre Dame
Hens in 2023 against Duke.

Said it on the Maryland forum earlier today, but they really need to change the seeding/selection format for the tournament. Delaware was clearly better than a play in team, and definitely better than Bryant, Utah, and I'd take them over Richmond too. Anyone with eyes could make that determination. Regardless, the Hens put up a great fight today and gave Duke all they could handle. Hoping the CAA is stronger next year

Delaware men’s lacrosse redshirt seniors Owen Grant and Tye Kurtz earned their second All-America honors this spring, garnering accolades from Inside Lacrosse Media Tuesday morning.
Grant, the CAA Defensive Player of the Year, was named First Team defense, while Kurtz, the CAA Offensive Player of the Year, was tabbed Third Team at attack.
It marks the third straight season Grant garners All-America recognition from IL Media, earning Third Team honors in 2021 and Second Team accolades last year. The Newmarket, Ont. native finished this season with a program record 38 caused turnovers, breaking his previous mark (35) set in 2022. Grant caused at least one turnover in 16 games, including two or more on 11 occasions. In addition, the redshirt senior tallied a career-best 57 ground balls, adding 10 points on seven points and three assists.
Kurtz had the best season of his career, earning his first All-America recognition last week from USA Lacrosse Magazine. The Puslinch, Ont. native set career highs in goals, assists (30) and points this season. Kurtz currently leads the NCAA with 88 points and ranks fourth with 58 goals. He tallied three or more goals in 11 games, with five or more points in 10. Additionally, the redshirt senior broke the CAA all-time records for career points (282) and goals (180) during the spring.

the first 1st Team All American from the CAA since Zach Goodrich Towson, Sean Scanone UMass in 2019.

So far,
just the Dutch and Stony Brook with transfers,
Muhlenberg had a pretty good team this year, I followed them a bit, there’s one other guy on Muhlenberg I like but don’t believe this player is in the portal.

I am hearing Demaio and Pottter are coming back for Towson, and they are trying to get a medical redshirt year for Berkeley from his time at Maryland. Brandon Hund is taking his fifth year at Rutgers, McNemar and Milani are also in the portal. Hund is going to be really tough to replace. McNemar was a solid player as well, Milani had flashes throughout his career.
