Here is a video of posters to this board on the this subject of the week. Which one are you? Also, I predict Champe over Freedom if we are still allowed to discuss games other than 6A.

Yorktown over Langley 11-9

In SL 10-5 win over McLean, Stevie Jones (Villanova) tallies 4Gs for the Seahawks.

And in game of the night, they delay the Oakton/Westfield game with :56 remaining in regulation due to lightning w/ the score 7-6. Oakton scores just before horn to send it into OT (Bitner). Oakton then takes it in OT (Arnold).

Where can we find the 6A/5A/4A brackets posted online? Looking for seedings, game times, locations, etc.

South Lakes edges a tough Yorktown squad tonight in OT 7-6 to win the Liberty Conf for the 4th year in a row. A few good games on tap tomorrow night.

Tough Concorde battle tonight as Madison continues to roll in win over Oakton 11-6. Can anyone stop the Warhawks this year?

Region D is pretty stacked. I would have given Region D a 4th spot and given 2 each to C and B, respectively.

I agree - Regions are highly skewed and D is stacked. Winner(s) coming out of there will be heavy favorites. Hopefully they can stay healthy

6A Rankings going into Regional Play (IMHO):
1. Madison: Convincing victory over a talented Oakton team to take Concorde. Who are those guys?
2. Oakton: Tough loss to Madison after OT win over Westfield
3. Westfield: Could still win it all. Their goalie can steal games
4. South Lakes: On a roll in capturing Liberty crown. Will likely have tough test v Oakton Monday
5. SoCo: Win over Robo last night sets them up nicely for regionals. Lotta heart here
6. Patriot: Has the talent, but can they put it all together against non-Cedar competition
7. Freedom: Very good defense, could surprise - don't sleep on these guys.
8. Yorktown: Well coached squad that fights hard but has had some unfortunate injuries
9. Chantilly: Scrappy crew that could win it all - next year
10. Battlefield: Younger team that will do well in coming years. Maybe 1-2 yrs away?
11. West Springfield: Has a few stellar players that have played together since kindergarten. This will be their last rodeo.

Oops - forgot Robo :P Would place them around 8. Connolly and Swaggerty can only take them so far. It was a nice run..

Reasonable list. Very interesting/strange year. Lots of strong teams, but not a single team that has dominant talent at the top like some of the Robo, Chantilly, Langley teams of old. Not to say the top of this group couldn't compete with those teams. Some of our current teams are very balanced, which causes problems that are also difficult to solve.

Good luck to everyone in regionals!
