They’re not.

They took the Mids to the last minute of that game.
And we know Navy is good this year?
Yes - they’re good.
It’s early we will see. I still think Tierney is past his prime and Hofstra is in a down swing for a few years. From the Bart - Mich scrimmages I know Mich is far better this year and last years Mich slaughtered UDel where I view lay years UDel > this years Hofstra by a wide margin.
On paper, Michigan is the more talented team by quite a bit.

I don’t care about paper I’m talking about seeing both teams live. But good for hofstra for putting up a fight even if they are now 0-3

Sure about that? 6-5 Manhattan today?

It’s just so early to know on most teams. Given the Hop outcomes lately and GTown at 0-2 do we know much about those teams yet?

I’m just not sold on Navy or Hofstra right now but a close loss to Mich should be encouraging for Hof.

Michigan beat a Hofstra team that is big, physical, and who I think might surprise people once CAA Conference starts. No “Michigan should have won by more due to more talent” complaints from me after this one.

I'm surprised more people haven't been talking about Michigan since Saturday. Sounds like it was a pretty exciting game.

Just a guess but if Hofstra hadn't lost to Merrimack and Navy, who lost to Manhattan, maybe Mich gets more/better press.

Yeah, beating the winless, 53rd ranked team in DI (pre-game Massey rating) by 1 goal does not get most fans too excited ...

Michigan has talent, have to wonder are they getting the best game plan to showcase their talent.

Have no ax to grind re MI. A lot of season left...we'll see. BTW, I feel the same way re Cuse.

Yep! Let's see what happens the rest of this season. I continue to believe in them after what I saw against UVA. And, yes, I think Michigan would have gotten more press if Hofstra came in with at least one win. The truth is, though, I think they are better than their record shows and will surprise people this season.

19-8 Wolverines win over Canisius. About what it should have been.

I didn’t watch the Marquette game. On paper, it looked like a good day for Marquette and a lousy day for Michigan. I will say a couple of things, though:

-The excuse of Michigan being a new program was beyond invalid today. Marquette started DI play one year afterwards. In addition, they didn’t have years of success as a club program going into DI either.

-Marquette might have looked better, but, in-terms of recruiting recently, Michigan has been better. If not quite a bit better.

It is still early in the season. But it is not too early to have serious concerns about where this season will go from here for the Wolverines.

Year after year Comry gets top recruits. Year after year they underperform. Beating a terrible Canisius team and then losing to Marquette??? You gotta be shitting me here. Way overrated team. Wonder how much longer they stick with Comry.

We will see. As I have said, the excuses of being a “new” program and being young shouldn’t be valid anymore. I still hope Conry surprises, but anyone who isn’t having some doubts doesn’t know what they are talking about.

So since you talk out both sides of your mouth , please tell us how many years does a new coach get in an establish program get to turn things around, and how many years for a new program? And I would say there is a big difference between Michigan and NJIT in how many years each coach should get.
