PM added jacksonville, delaware, navy, georgetown and uva. That has to be the best ooc schedule in a very long time and I hope we continue those. Miss princeton obviously, but staff deserves a lot of credit for putting that together.

Marquis is the real deal, but exclusively plays attack at Bosco, and it is hard to imagine him playing anything but attack at JHU. Field vision/ stickwork/ passing is definitely the exceptional part of his game. Would think of him similarly to the Stanwicks (playing style, not saying he'll be the "next Stanwick").

The weekend showed the task ahead for the staff rebuilding this program is not going to be easier. In addition to all the A list programs not making the tournament who aren't going to take the longer than expected summer well, you had ivies w/similar academic offerings in the tournament and advancing, rising mid majors like delaware and richmond playing well, an ascendant Rutgers group that now has had 2 strong tournaments and we know about college park.
Someone will spend the week posting about Murphys stat line this weekend and that zinn's uva group advancing and so I'll get that out of the way and yes we know.

Collison and English both named to the Under Armour game at Homewood this summer:
One more wave to be announced, we'll see if Marquis gets in. If one of the goals of the all-star game is to get highlight reel plays onto SportsCenter in order to #GrowTheGame then they'd be silly not to include him but he deserves it regardless

I was pleased too with the teams PM scheduled this year, so don't disagree with your larger point. But "has to be the best ooc schedule in a very long time" is off-base/misleading in a couple ways:
-- Hopkins has only had seven "ooc schedules" in its history, counting the truncated 2020 campaign.
-- All of those featured a pretty closely overlapping set of opponents, so I'm not sure any single year "has to be the best" among them.
For instance, was this a better set of opponents than, say, 2016?

Syracuse -- QF
Towson -- QF
Navy -- QF
Virginia
Princeton
UMBC

murphy was 3 and 1 with a gb and a cto, zinn misssd the cage but as usual with the hoos was instrumental in the middle of the field and as a 2 way.

Well they'll both be going up against each other this weekend.
Good thing we focused on all those Canadians he wanted on offense.
But, not surprised. His offense looked like crap for 2 years. Averaging 10 goals a game...no matter what would be somewhat talent deficiencies is awful and inexcusable to only averaging 10 goals a game. The offense was probably better last year too.

There are bigger problems here than not putting up enough goals. Apparently PM relieved JGjr of his duties and took on the OC job midway through this season. Something stinks in Denmark

I can’t say for sure but I’ve heard it was a HC and Star Player issue not an OC that had been relieved of his duties

until Grant Jr. decides what his next step is ?
Are the commits for next fall going to remain ?
I’d think Grant Jr. was a big part of the attraction.

I think there's a better chance we take Rewkowski from Delaware than there is Junior goes back to UDel.
Not sure if commits can get out of their NLIs because of an assistant coach leaving. He may have been an attraction but they also couldn't have been thrilled by watching what his offense did in the last two seasons with the caveat that it wasn't his personnel.
