Agreed, nice work!
Thanks. Probably doesn't take as much as you think since I can just copy and paste lists from previous years. And we'll see what happens with the 2024 class. UNC supposedly has the greatest recruiting class ever so we'll see how that plays out. :D :D

25: Actually the greatest recruiting class ever
26: More of the same, unless Clemson uses Dabo for women's lacrosse recruiting again

Hearing some rumblings that Clemson is a major player for a top 2026. interesting..this recruiting cycle will be fascinating.

I was curious to see how clemson would follow up a stellar 2025 class. I said if 2026 was on par with 2025 they would be a top 20 program by year 3 or 4. On the field they were competitive for the most part.

I'm definitely interested in following the 2026 recruiting cycle finally being on the completed side of things. Clemson certainly one to watch.

I think it will be interesting for a few reasons.
to
Pros: Clemson may end up being the best funded program out there and can offer full rides while many others can't

Cons: The biggest selling point for Clemson in the past 2 years has been early playing time. Will be much harder for some of these 26s to get on the field if all of the committed 25s stick with thee committments.

Cons: Clemson will also be recruiting a smaller pool than a UNC or NW. Clemson's academic reputation will hurt it with some girls, especially MD and Philly private school girls who dominate the top 50 of the 26 class.

Will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Good points, but worrying about PT isn't stopping all those girls from committing to UNC (although UNC may be a more attractive all around pick for those private school girls as you said).

Couple of things I'm interested to see this fall

1) How does MD do with the locals, after missing out the last few cycles
2) FSU, how does it go now that they have a named coach
3) Cuse, rough offseason for them, will this affect recruiting or do they bounce back
4) Goalies, heard this is a great class, where do they end up

MD definitely a contender for at least one top 26

Right, and you'd have to assume CR knows this class better than anyone prior for that reason, so its going to be interesting to see how they do.

1) With the huge depth in MD (probably best MD class in a long time) I expect this to be a better-than-normal class, especially with several top public school girls

2) FSU will get some very solid 2nd tier talent; girls who would typically go to schools ranked 15-30. I expect them to make much bigger splashes with some big name transfers who can't find the field at current top 10 programs. Also will be curious how many 25s they can flip. Perhaps some girls who will be victims of the new 38 womens roster limit.

3) On paper, they are a top 3 team. Comes down to how they execute in May

4) I haven't heard that -- i've actually heard that once you get past the top 4 or 5 goalies, this is the only weak part of the 26 class. In fact, most folks i've heard talk about 15-20+ outstanding goalies in the 27 class (which is weak in field players). I wonder if some top programs skip this class knowing what is coming in another

In regards to the goalies, the IAAM, which is thought to be the best conference in nation for lax, had 5(6) starting 2026 goalies. There's a lot there in talent if that is an indication.

I can't speak to the 2027 class of goalies vs other classes. Im not certain colleges have looked into 2027 just yet.

The McD goalie is the only one with a realistic chance to go to a top 25 programs. Top goalies in this class are the one at HHH, Jesters and Florida Select. After that, no real impact goalies.

Regarding 27s, coaches aren't getting in deep with that class but they clearly know who the best 50 or so players are, especially the ones who play at top clubs.

Agree on everything except one point. What's wrong with Clemson's academic reputation? It's a #43 public school in the nation, ahead of schools like USF, Rutgers, Oregon, Colorado, George Mason, both Arizona schools, JMU, etc. Not to mention, I've heard their Career Center is always rated the best in the nation almost every year.

I really fear some of the other traditional "academic" schools will soon lack the competitive priority of WLax like a Clemson, Florida, or even Ohio State. The BC's, Syracuse's, and Ivy Leagues of the world may soon disappear into irrelevancy due to money alone. Why pay big money at those schools with second rate facilities and treatment when you can go to a big time school and live like a rock star while getting your education for free?

I’ve said this for the last few years about UNc. They don’t seem to have this problem. I doubt Clemson will.

Believe this is false based on the 2024 US News rankings. For starters, Rutgers is the 15th ranked public university in the country with Florida and UMd also in the top 20. Clemson is 43 on the list. One can always argue with these rankings as Penn State ranked at 28 with the strength of the alumni network seems a bit crazy.

Think it all depends on what list you are looking at and priorities. Assuming the girls want a big school, bigtime football, and a high employment and salary after college then the list is different than basic academics. Maryland and Virginia (although arguable football), USC, Notre Dame, and Michigan are in the top of that list(top120). Ohio state, Florida, Clemson, UNC, and Penn state(top 240) are the next level down. And Oregon, UNC, then Florida state are next after a significantly Drop. (Top 360).
