St. Lawrence at Middlebury - 4 p.m. - 14-13 Middlebury
* Hamilton at Williams - 5 p.m. - 10-9 Hamilton
* Tufts at Bates - 6 p.m. - 20-6 Tufts
* Wesleyan at Trinity - 7 p.m. - 17-8 Wesleyan
* Amherst at Conn. College - 7 p.m. - 12-10 Conn
* Colby at Bowdoin - 7 p.m. - 13-9 Bowdoin

Going out on a limb with the Hamilton and Conn picks, but mid-week games are the perfect spot for an upset. I don't think either of these teams win a playoff game, but they are more than capable of continuing to beat teams that don't bring their A-game.

I agree with all of those picks including the upsets for both Midd and Hamilton - my impression is that those two teams are gradually rounding into form.

It is a big game for Midd today at Number 14, SLU. If they win, they can stay relevant....maybe. A loss and they are toast. They better win some FO's.

Hamilton @ Williams rescheduled - Covid Outbreak

Audible — Williams @ Undefeated MIT. Pulling forward next week’s top 20 matchup. Should be a good one.

Nor can I. I thought when they bested Tufts that they had figured things out. Then they lose to Hamilton and SLU. Now the latter is a really good team, but the Panthers, while winning close to half of the FOs never really did anything with them. They won the first three of the game and then each time turned the ball over leading to SLU scores. I will give Midd credit, they did hang in there and tie the Saints at 4-4 and later, after a strong third period 9-9 and 11-11, got completely owned allowing 7 consecutive goals. Untimely turnovers and off shooting doomed them.

They have always had talent. I would argue Dave Campbell doesn’t run the tightest of ships up there. Hence they consistently give up and down performances. Same Middlebury team as always under him. Tufts is also still figuring themselves out, they are not yet as good as some previous years.

Also poor Bates.

I’d like to petition MIT to the NESCAC!

    Watching Colby is painful

    MIT 13-12 over Williams. Williams never led, though they did come back from 4 or 5 down to tie it up early in the 4th.

    I watched a bit of Bates-Tufts before Williams-MIT and man, Bates is really bad. Has there ever been a completely winless team in the NESCAC? They're 0-11 and finish with Conn College, RIT (although their schedule now says that game is cancelled), and Colby.

    I dont recall anyone ever laying an egg and going winless. A few years ago i remember Hamilton only had 1 or 2 wins though.

    Spent a few minutes and looked back through the standings of every NESCAC season (not counting 2020 or 2021 for obvious reasons). NESCAC dot com archiving of stats/records from previous seasons is pretty poorly done, but from what I can tell four teams have gone winless in conference.
    • 2018 Hamilton: 0-10 NESCAC, 2-13 overall
    • 2016 Colby: 0-10 NESCAC, 3-12 overall
    • 2010 Bates: 0-9 NESCAC, 4-9 overall
    • 2005 Colby: 0-10 NESCAC, 3-11 overall
    No NESCAC team has ever finished a full season winless. Conn and (especially) Colby are beatable to close the season, but Bates is on the cusp of making some seriously unfortunate history this year.

    What’s the deal with Hamilton? They cancelled both games this week. Did they get COVID or something? Is COVID still a thing? I thought we went back to calling it a cold now that Russia wants to start WWIII?

    @InsiderRoll - I heard Hamilton had a covid outbreak on the team. The college still has protocols to follow.

    Good to see the Bobcats get off the schneide.

    Happy to see that W for Bates and Peter.
    I think they'll beat Colby as well.

    Will Peter Lasagna retire? Often asked question as of late.

    Great game between Wesleyan and Tufts in Medford yesterday. Wesleyan came out hot and jumped on a 10 - 6 at halftime. it was a back and forth game and all tied up at 13-13 going into the fourth. the Tufts senior group took control of the game. In the fourth quarter, Tufts jumped into a zone and seemed to confuse Wesleyan. It also helped that Tufts seem to dominate the face-offs winning 24-35 face-offs on the day. Tufts takes home the 17-14 win. I hope these two meet again at some point because they are evenly matched. Both teams are top 10 teams with lots of fire power.

    Peter should thank James for not making him eat bagels for the entire season.

    Probably not, although I wouldn't be surprised. He's been in the game for a long time, this is definitely not the type of season he was looking at for his last. If this is his last, well then we are seeing the end of a great coaching era, Peter is one of the good guys in the game.
