Donald Trump tried to deflect some of the media's attention away from the DNC and back onto him with a speech at the border last week, but instead he reminded the country of just how bad his cognitive functioning has become. During what was supposed to be a speech about his border policies, Trump instead went on a low energy "rant" about the state of Minnesota, claiming that he would have won the state if not for the "hanky panky" going on there. No one knows what this means, and the media decided to completely ignore it. Farron Cousins explains what happened.

I think this was Trump just failing to actually bother to do any serious research and listening instead to his "gut", meaning these days whatever last sycophant was in his ear and that happened to Don Jr who fancies himself a tough guy. And even a smart guy, as many of these candy-ass super rich kids think of themselves. Hubris all around.

Donald Trump revived questions about his mental acuity after appearing to say that wind energy was to blame for the increased price and decreased consumption of bacon.

“You take a look at bacon and some of these products – and some people don’t eat bacon any more,” Trump said. “We are going to get the energy prices down. Hey America hater -- as was pointed out, your hero tRump illegally negotiated with the Taliban, not with the government of Ghani who had been imposed by your other hero Bush. That's tantamount to some foreign government negotiating with Jefferson Davis instead of Abraham Lincoln.
