Due to inclement weather expected in the Baltimore-Annapolis area on Saturday, the Navy vs. Colgate men’s lacrosse game will now be played at 12-noon on Sunday at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium

Brutal. 9-6 Gate, with 11:13 to go.

Big momentum swing after the Gate full-time 1 minute penalty and Navy finds their shooting stroke.

A win is a win, but there is plenty to be frustrated with.

Mids pull it out, looks like Arline added some energy.

Not a pretty win. But a nice comeback for an 11-10 victory.

Little favor to ask. Does anyone know who, IN-ORDER, scored Navy's final three goals? That is, starting with the one that tied it at 9?

Don’t know if it’s “ring rust”, injury or additional football weight but at this point #24 is not the same athlete. I’m hoping Xavier comes around, he’s a great young man and was spectacular to watch in his earlier lacrosse career.

Nice comeback win with a little help from the refs with the full time penalty at the end.

It's obvious that he's still feeling his way & his teammates are still adapting to what he can do.

Congrats to the MIDS ! Any win in the PL is hard earned and well deserved.

Not having 34 in the line-up was difficult from the start, but they found a way down low to make it work. 40 was all over the field and played his role well.

Goalie was sharp and made some clutch saves late into the game. Outlet passing continues to improve.

First Midfield Struggled at the beginning of the game, partly because of the ball dying with 24 on a few occasions. But, when the ball does move and the MIDS play with the "one more" mentality , you see what happens. 28 struggled early but found the stroke late , 43 was solid and 27...Welcome Back Gun Slinger.

Second Midfield is on the struggle bus, The MIDS seventh game and we have had different lineups each game. 48, 63 and 6. 63 is explosive, 6 is one dimensional and 48 is struggling. I suspect 48 will be replaced after this performance and the lines will be shuffled again. We didn't see any of 25, 22 or 12 this week.

24 had one nice little one on one dodge for the first of the game, but he looks to still be high school mode, multiple dodges to a bad shot, 3 or 4 bad angle shots and then zero hustle on the ride. The ball dies on his stick and I am surprised his low LAX IQ. Seems like the Coaching Staff may be pampering the five star a little too much. 32 had a nice Man-up goal, 10 was quiet on the day and 21 continues to be steady and solid.

The FOGO's grinding out a solid performance and looked evenly matched. The Wings with 2, 33 and 5 provided that extra punch.

All is All , Solid win for the MIDS ! Beat HOP !

How about making 24 an O middie? He'll get the pole but still be able to threaten. He has shown that he's got a hard shot. The mid who is currently getting the pole would then have an easier job, being on a shortie. Navy is having a tough time running by people especially since they don't set many (any?) picks above GLE. Hopkins isn't going to give 29 as much time and room as Colgate did.

I would double pole 28 and 29, put shortie on one the attack

Hate to say it, but think BlueJaySince1947 is right...maybe even a bit conservative.

Goanna sound like a broken record, but if we keep avoiding attacking from that righty attack (high wing) spot, we will continue to struggle. Just look at how productive #57 was, who barely ever played his first two years. Smart play on his part, coupled with his counter parts 17, 21 and 32 balanced the attack; in essence we've taken that part of the field away. And before 57, Ryan Wade was an assist monster while teams had to respect Jack Ray and Greyson, while the polls and SSDM's where tasked to push transition and score.

#10, is also not being put in a position to do much....really strange. It's like we put all our eggs in the first midfield....and if we want a lefty to do something, we send in #29. Quite hard to build chemistry in such a short season...unless your goals are a beacon on the horizon (years away) and not weekly.

Maybe this is just part of the grand plan....to peak in late April, first two weeks in May, which is why they are moving a dozen players around on offense each week, then settle in on the group(s) that work best.

Would love to see #40 score tonight, love that kid. ;)
