Really disappointed by their performance definitely playing way below the standard they set this season. Delaware on the other hand has way exceeded expectations and whatever happens can hold their heads high
So this magic cake that you can eat and still have on your plate, where do you get it?

Milagro Bakers?
How am I having my cake and eating it too?

+100

I think the one part we all agree with is that the RPI system they've been using has been flawed for decades now.

It's just hard for the "offbrand" teams (pretty funny thinking of Ivy as "off brand") to hear griping from the Brand name teams, is all.....they've been getting screwed for years, and no one would listen to their valid gripes.

They favor the team that should win, but not by too much unless the difference is drastic. Then people bet each thinking both sides are reasonable.

To repeat; they favored UVA because if they dogged then they would have way too many bets that's they might lose. We are saying the same thing

Notre Dame should have been in over Georgetown. Maverick, did you see what a lousy team Georgetown just was. Oh, I forgot they beat Notre Dame by 5. Oh damn, I'm so confused.

I do not agree. I think RPI is perfectly fine.

And if you think it's not fine, you need to tell us what would be better.

I know what it is, Maverick. The rains in Spain are causing these teams to disappoint. That it?

Craziness.... Delaware really rose to the occasion. Delay didn't psyche them out. I like big red over them next week but really impressive play by them today

I'm going to make a hypothesis based on the interactions I've had today. Since your comments lack any use of logic deductive reasoning or tact, I'm going to guess you are a Cornell fan not named cu77

no mav, they don't favor the team that should win. they favor the team that will draw 50% money on each side. the line is what the betting public thinks. that's all. the betting public could be completely wrong. vegas doesn't care.

Apologies...what I meant was "The current RPI system they are using'.

Meaning: we have no clue what they're gonna do when they show up to decide. They have told us flat out that they apply different standards to different teams. So for some, it's straight RPI. For others like Duke? They ignored RPI, and went with other numbers like QW's, SOS, and Bad losses.

You're ok with that? i thought we all agreed that using different standards for each team was inherently flawed...and teams have NO IDEA if they will get a bid heading into the smoke-filled room.

Yes, Delaware will play Cornell -- matching Blue Hens Head Coach DeLuca against his former player, Connor Buczek. Great story line!

No, I'm not OK with that. I would replace it with straight RPI. But RPI itself is fine.

So what draws money on both sides? How do they pick that number what makes them realize it will draw even bets? They favor the team likely to win but only by enough that others will bet the upset. That's why it's a spread not w or l you might think Duke is gonna beat UNC in the final four but not by 8
