Terps dominated Duke on Saturday. By more than 10.

USC also beat Notre Dame. But it is just fall ball after all.

Terps are going to be really good. They really took advantage of the transfer portal.

Putting much stock in fall ball results is a fools errand. While they may have easily beaten Duke they have struggled against lesser teams this fall as well. Not that they won't be good this year but fall ball is never an indicator of what will happen come spring.

Cordingley was a good get, but I am not sure that I would say they (terps) are going to be really good based on Fall Ball. I agree with the fools errand comment. What I saw against Loyola would make me disagree with you.

Although suffolk posted under the Fall Ball topic, he didn't mention fall ball, but the transfer portal as the sole reason for his optimism. As to whether or not the Terps will be really good in 2022, you know what the Zen master says...

Transfers contributing big time for the TERPS, but in the games I saw, biggest issue is the defense. Let’s not forget that Dook is a perennial underachiever and Reese is UMD’s ace in the hole. I am very interested to see what kind of magic she can work by the time 2022 kicks off.

I’m inclined to agree with you on Reese but one never knows. The game may be passing her by. Her teams were mediocre in 2020 and 2021. As other(s) have stated, hitting the portal as hard as she did speaks to a lack of harvest from previous years of recruiting. That’s on Reese ultimately. I’m not saying Reese has lost her fastball or is in the process of losing it—but she may be in the early stages... We shall see and time will tell.

Ummmm…ok. Passed her by? That’s just ridiculous. No one bats 100%. Got to admit you’ve topped yourself here……..imo

Correct—No one bats 100% (it’s actually 1000% in baseball lingo but I’m quoting) and no coach is exempt from having the game pass them by. In one way or another, it happens to them all.

Don't know what it is with you folks and your all and never stuff.
The game never passed Simmons Jr by, he just decided to retire to pursue other interests, and I watched a couple of his fall ball scrimmages and thought those teams would win the title and they did.

Don't know about baseball, would rather have my nether regions waxed than have to watch that sport. Did not know the rules of mathematics did not apply to it. Glad to know.

As to your other statement. I still find it rather assinine. Game must be moving warp speed or perhaps Coach Reese hit her head. The game may be passing her by in a mere 2 years since she won the natty...... even suggest she may be some early stage? Don't pass the smell test.

You used the baseball analogy, not me.

Reese won a national championship in 2019—is that your argument? What other proof do you offer that Reese still has it? (Not that I said she doesn’t, mind)

Does hardly ever make you feel better? All coaches approach fall ball differently. Not like you're watching 1s vs 1s most of the time.
