seafood pizza pretty darn good too, but then I like calamari and octopus...

I remember when we went to Italy, while not actually going to Naples, the Italians claimed the only authentic pizza is made in Napoli.

Imagine what an eye opener La Riveria night club in Old San Juan was for an 18 year old hayseed Mid on youngster cruise aboard a WW II vintage FRAM'ed destroyer. A 10 piece steel drum band on an elevated platform surrounded by a circular bar where a Rum Punch was cheaper than a Coca-Cola. Free rum punches & a steel band beneath the yellow pavilion roof at the Bacardi factory. I've loved steel bands ever since.

La Riviera
Tursi gained fame as the owner of the La Riviera, a nightclub in San Juan, Puerto Rico well known for its association with easy prostitution. A popular attraction for not only locals but also expatriates and tourists, La Riveria faced the danger of constant raids by the police, though this didn't phase Tursi.

Within the history of crime in Puerto Rico, he attracted notice primarily for owning the notable nightclub La Riviera.

While his operations faced frequent interruptions by the Puerto Rican government, he managed to achieve success in the territory's underworld for many years. One particular raid, he later recalled, had involved the arrest of over 300 women by anti-vice officers. The "farce", as he called it, of police raids wound up frightening prostitutes off of the streets and rebounding things in his favor, with Tursi controlling his own established locations. Historian Stan Steiner labeled him as a "night-club impresario".

In the 1970s, societal changes marked the decline of his club. Tursi would say "I’m going broke because people are now getting for free what we used to charge for!" Tursi repeatedly rejected suggestions to turn La Riviera into an LGBT-themed disco as he found the idea personally offensive. Tursi finally agreed to sell his nightclub to the government, which promptly demolished it.

I think this conversation has gotten out of hand with the personal attacks and negative assumptions.

It's a serious topic that such exploitation was committed with the complicity of the South Korean and American governments and many of their and our people, and it's still a tragedy that such sexual exploitation exists in the world.

Perhaps that's something everyone on here can agree with?

There's been no indication that there's not full agreement there.
Joe's comment had nothing to do with sex trafficking, yet Snake
warns him to stay away from his daughters because he somehow
figures Joe is okay with that. That's pretty serious business, low
life stuff, completely out of line and unacceptable.
The point of my post is that Snake only wants to point fingers at
"Muricans bad while the South Koreans are every bit as bad, if not
worse for knowingly letting it happen in their country and doing
nothing to shut those businesses down. It's ugly, very ugly.
JFTR, there are other daughters in the world who never needed
to worry about being around Joe. Like his sister, a pretty top notch
and well liked gal who mentors and coaches young girls. Ya never know,
perhaps one day Snake's daughters will have the privilege of playing for her.

Incredibly well said. I know I'm not the only one who was tired of it. Like a broken record. Hopeful that Tumolo's Army squad can upset Loyola tomorrow and sneak into the tournament.
