Too lazy to check venue temps, but what's the over/under on frostbite, wrecked hamstrings, cracked (stick) heads?

The wrecked hamstring is no joke fer' sure. Any strength and conditioning coach would know that not wearing something to protect the skin and keep extremities as warm as possible is in the best interest of the athletes body.....not to mention in a sport filled with quick stops and sprints. And sadly, the players have little say in the matter.

The weather will do more upsetting than any other team.
I feel bad for the non starters that will be standing on the sidelines in shorts for 3 hrs in 25 degree weather

PC lost a lot on back end from LY (GK, LSM, 2 starting D) as well as middie who scored 7 (!) in last year's game. I'll take HC +5.5 all day and the moneyline to boot. HC will be much improved this year.

The ridiculous fact of playing lacrosse in the middle of winter is the result of the monster TV $$$ now calling the shots...
It started with demanding the playoffs take place on the Memorial Day weekend which pushed the beginning of the season back 2 - 3 weeks. Then the arbitrary manipulation of weekend games from warm Saturday afternoons to Friday and Sunday evenings.
Etc , etc , etc. Very sad.
Hopkins first game was mid-March and the season ended mid-June.
Anyway just the bitchin' of a crabby olde man who knew lacrosse before it was consumed by the Monster of TV...like all sports now.

monster is a bit of a stretch in re: to lacrosse. tho it does have a role.
couple things:
- hopkins used to play like 6 games. do that now, you'll get roasted on fanlax and miss the playoffs. that's razor's edge.
- not one player wants the season to eat into summer and extend school with no students around. not one.
- not one coach wants to schedule midweek games anymore, because strategery.
- it's been a mild winter. embrace it.

It is supposed to be upsets have to take a chance with some of these.
In addition, PC is learning a new coaching-system, which often takes time.

Jacksonville over JHU Hopkins 5th place finish in the big ten begins with a disappointing trip to Fla.
I hope you didn't put money on this prognostication.
