I am surprised by the success of the Central League. Watching games this year I thought they were "down" quite a bit. Looks like this year there is a good chance of reverting to only District 1 and 12 teams in the finals.

Central League represents 5 of the 8 semifinalists in AAA and AA.

A couple of years ago Mars and Hershey matched up in the state tournament. Sweet game.

In their first meeting on 5/3, Radnor soundly defeated Garnet Valley 17-8, but anything goes when two Central League rivals meet in the final. In that game GV’s fogo Sam DiTrolio was dominating going 22-for-27, however they quickly fell behind and never recovered. In a second meeting it’s certainly possible to get a different outcome.

Whoever wins gets their first lacrosse title. Mars returns from last year hoping to become the first school from western PA to bring home a title. On Tuesday Mars took down the District 1 runner up, Penncrest 16-8 while M-N beat Penncrest in the District 1 final 10-9.

Radnor over Garnet, but the score is unpredictable. I think Radnor is stronger all over the field, but it is a Central league matchup, so it could be close.

I think it is Mars year finally. This will be close. I don't think Marple has the experience.
