I posted this in response to last year's version of this thread. Didn't double check the research, but if I'm wrong might as well propagate the error.

"This is apparently the first year since 1945 where no JHU player has appeared on this list. That's a long time. Amazing. And depressing."

The disparity in talent and depth between A and M amazes me every year, but maybe it's just a classification issue.
53 points as a middie. He would be on first team if they did not include the guys who really should be considered attack this year in Handley and Bundy.
Bundy is a pure midfielder who scores and is a great assist guy, Much like Whittenberg was for Hoyas. . He did play two games at attack due to Haley injury but he is 100% a midfielder.
Didn't realize they moved him back after Haley came back. Wrong again my fault
But your point on Curry clearly has merit. Was obviously right there!

Tucker Brown
St. Joe’s midfield
40,11 (on a team with all 3 attack over 55 points)
Should be at least HM

I disagree. That would give an advantage to players lucky enough to be on tournament teams. Since AA is an individual award, now is the time to give it, after the seaons of 55 teams have ended.

He’s the America East player of the year with 54 goals as a midfielder and one of the best outside shots in lacrosse.
McConvey was an HM.
McConvey may take Moore's place next year

That school produces some great division 1 lacrosse talent. Pat Spencer comes to mind as well.

I’m no Syracuse expert, but I thought Durdovic was their number one scorer, not Curry?

He was but Curry is a midfielder and Dordevic played attack this year. It’s much more crowded at attack.

Unfortunately, they ran out of real estate for Brown.

Let’s see if Tucker Brown plays with a serious chip on his
shoulder this weekend.

Tucker Brown is a load,

6'2" 213 LBS

TUCKER BROWN

SR. REHOBOTH BEACH, DEL.

In normal years id agree but given the playoff composition this year maybe we do it now and exclude the non playoff teams from consideration.

They named (38) 1st, 2nd and 3rd team All Americans and only 3 of them were Ivy players.

ACC 1 tournament team, 11 All Americans
Ivy 6 tournament teams, 3 All Americans

Obviously the good players are all in the ACC. Do you realize how good you have to be to be named an AA if you ain’t from the ACC or Big Ten? You have to make it hard for them not to select you.

Pat Effing Kavanaugh is second team? That is outrageous. Let’s take a look at the numbers:

28% shooting, pumped up by three games against Marquette and Syracuse twice (43% across those games). Without those games, he shot 23%!

25 goals, but onlly 16 if you drop those three games.

39 assists, but only 24 if you drop those three games.

Yes he got 39 groundballs, but he’s an attackman, and he should be judged primarily on scoring efficiency.

Piatelli or Kirst should have his spot.

It is also weird not to see Long, Khan, Murphy, or Zapitello on the list. Geppert should at least be an HM.

Kavanaugh is a lock.
The proverbial “they” love that guy.

I saw him get muscled and shut down last year,
which soured me a little on Kavanaugh.

Piatelli for me, over Kavanaugh.

Obviously all the good coaches are in the Ivy league, coaching up all those non all american players and getting all their teams into the big dance (sans the green one)
