By early exit, I mean early round. They exit the tournament in the early rounds every year.wlaxphan20 wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 2:59 pm "ND won't be dangerous to anyone better than them." so if that's actually what you're saying, I wouldn't call getting beat by a better team an "early exit", that's all
Also--my initial comment was in response to "could be dangerous for someone in the NCAA tournament" which implies a higher seeded/better team--hence, "ND won't be dangerous to anyone better than them."
Both comments stand alone in addition to being harmonious.

UNC will hold on here but it has been a much better game than I think anyone anticipated.

Gotcha, thought you meant "early" as in "earlier than expected", all goodOuttaNowhereWregget wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 3:10 pmBy early exit, I mean early round. Moreno 12 saves
Deehan 6 saves
One could make the argument that Moreno deserves MVP for this game.

Did the Irish get themselves into the tournament this weekend?

Look at the Box score...from the point that ND went up 5-0, UNC went on a 7 goal run. Then from the point of it being 7-6(UNC), UNC goes on a 5 goal run that happened in the 2nd quarter and an early part of the 3rd. At that point it was 12-6, but I never thought ND would overtake UNC and win. Why not? Because Taylor Moreno was in Goal for UNC. She had an inconsistent game today, but her resume told me that she will make saves. Not that fairy tale of "she makes the big saves when she has to". This comes from the reality of TM having a career SP of almost 53%. She has a resume and she has receipts.

I hope not, but I'm not going to be surprised if they are an at-large selection.

I was looking at the box score. And I agree, I never really got the feeling that UNC was going to lose once they got rolling, but this wasn't a comment on Moreno's play. I was just impressed (and surprised to see) that despite losing, Notre Dame outscored the consensus #1 team in the country in 3 out of 4 quarters. It was just a different way of looking at the scoring break down.LarryGamLax wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 7:18 pmwlaxphan20 wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 3:17 pmI agree. Good thing they added cupcake Detroit Mercy after the season started when they realized they were in trouble record-wise. In the end--it made all the difference. That, and the fact that the ACC lets all their teams into the conference tourney. Still, they ended up needing that 27-2 win over the Titans to get them the extra win they were lacking.LarryGamLax wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 7:20 pmLaxPundit07 wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 6:14 pm Did the Irish get themselves into the tournament this weekend?

I don't like ND, okay? Is there a problem with that? We do not have to like every coach, player, school or poster. It's perfectly okay to not like Charlotte North(as a player) and like someone else. It's okay to like KAH or Cathy Reese, or dislike both. That's what this Forum is supposed to be about, right? Or am I coming at this wrong?LaxPundit07 wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 8:03 pmWhy do you “hope not”?LarryGamLax wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 7:20 pmLaxPundit07 wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 6:14 pm Did the Irish get themselves into the tournament this weekend?

I don't get the hair trigger here, Larry. I don't read any tone or ulterior motive in the simple question, "Why do you 'hope not'?"LarryGamLax wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 2:09 amI don't like ND, okay?
