As ohmi said, today's relevant game is Loyola vs. Army at 7 PM. Whoever loses between Olmstead, Abshire, and Nichtern, their points will count.

Nichtern 4, Olmstead 1, Abshire 1 at half. Brendan added 2 quick assists before half.

Nichtern with 2 more to start the half, up to 6. Army goalie isn't seeing the ball, they may chase the rest of the way if he can't adjust.

Then Abshire scores falling towards the goal. Wish I kept that guy, think I drafted him in the 6th as a freshman before dropping.

Nichtern with the signature goal bulling thru GLE. 2&5. That dude is freaking good! Why can't he get 1 more year like most everyone else?

Schupler big save on Olmstead. Then Nichtern stripped, followed by him stripping the same defender. Abshire runs into the entire defense until he's stripped. Not a great possession to end the quarter.

Smooth man-up goal for Loyola, great ball movement. No fantasy points.

Abshire with a very nice alley dodge goal.

Nitchern bulls through the defense for goal #3 and their first lead. 8 points.

Abshire with a nice iso on the shorty from behind the cage for the goal. He's got 4 of them. Not poling him looking like the wrong strategy.

12-11 on a spinning Evan James goal. Then another for Loyola from the midfield. 12-12. Paul Johnson for Army. 13-12.

Nichtern with a lefty goal from up top. 4&5. What sucks is it looks like that won't count.......... :(

Olmstead goal with 5 seconds left.

Only two points from olmstead. We probably each would’ve preferred an army loss considering the points each player had.

Tough to watch those great performances and have them not count. Looking back at the BU game Nichtern had 2&8, Abshire had 1&1. I can only hope for the same. That spread would help.

You have a 12 point lead with 2 to go. I have 4 to go. Both Kavanagh and Scott have tough matchups. Should end closer than it appears.

By far my worst week of the season. It stings but happy we made the championship. Thought this could be the year.

Congrats Ohmi! Get ready to hang a banner!

Thanks to Matt for another fun season, PA and all the other coaches.

I was visiting family yesterday and didn't want to check scores while spending time with family. I fell asleep around 9:30pm, woke up around 3am and checked scores and was shocked to see Avanzato and Ross Scott only get 1 point each. That was killer for PA. It made for a much more relaxing day today than I was expecting.

Going into this season, I thought I had a championship caliber team. Then Owen Hiltz got injured and I figured I had no shot at winning the championship. Will Peden was my first round pick, but I hadn't picked him intending for him to start for me this season. With Hiltz injured, I needed him to start. I had some midfield depth, but not much at attack. He had a good season and really came through (in Feb) in the championship game.

This offseason I will lose Aidan Olmstead and Bobby Abshire. I think I drafted Olmstead in the 4th round before his freshman year. He's been really consistent the past couple seasons. Bobby Abshire has been seemingly less steady, but capable of some big games.

Speaking of consistent, other teams put up more points than I did, but my team was very consistent. I don't think I scored in single digits this season.

I'm looking forward to the next draft. I guess I'll have to prep to make two picks in a row. That's a first for me. There is a lot of talent in this class, and a lot of undrafted guys worthy of drafting.

Edit: I forgot to mention, all teams need luck to win a championship, and my team is no exception. It took luck to win some games this season. Last season I didn't have that luck. I scored a lot of points, but so did my opponents and I didn't make the playoffs.

Ohmi, your team will likely be even stronger next season. Your drafts have been strong.

We have to wait to see on our own strange draft.
Trader - RS (maybe forever)
Mencke - RS
Connell - Not as impactful this season, but could be Denver's top scorer going forward.
Philbin - injury ruined grad season.

Nichtern, Cole, Hannah and Philbin to graduation.

The upcoming draft class looks good. You can do some reloading. The 2020 draft was really good. The 2017 draft was absurdly good. Wisnauskas was a 2nd round pick.

Congratulation Ohmi. Well done.

I had a mediocre draft part of which was attributable to the state of lax in the Ivies, the timing of the draft and the necessity of making assumptions given they didn’t play last year.

As already said this year’s has more talent as does the next at this point.
