You are quite welcome. I definitely don't claim to be definitively right on that, but it was just my opinion, and I'm sure there are differing ones who just didn't bother responding. Context is always helpful! The momentum of the game reminds me a lot of college basketball sometimes (maybe because they still play halves LOL). It's a game of scoring runs and momentum swings, and sometimes you need to call time in the hopes of slowing or stopping the other teams momentum, making some adjustments, and refocusing your team.

People close to Aldave are saying it will most likely be UNC. Not sure that it is the best fit for her from a lax standpoint.

How is this video beyond the hype? Maryland has had a dynasty in women’s lacrosse just like at one time Syracuse and Hopkins had a dynasty in Men’s Lacrosse.

Only because the video references past seasons. Don’t kid yourself to think Maryland won’t rebound. Cathy always has a strong draft and has had great success with transfers ( she has been very selective over the years). The pandemic season and last season are not an indication of the program’s demise nor are players transferring out of Maryland.

Past tense is used because examples are listed. For examples to be used, the example in question must already be in existence. Dynasties are created by continued success over multiple seasons. If BC rattles off the next 5 national championships, you can use them as an example too, but you wouldn't use them as an example now.
Also, it looks like the NCAA was releasing a series on dynasties in each sport based on the videos listed below under "Up Next". It's the NCAA..They aren't exactly going to bend over backwards to make a 5 minute video for a non-revenue sport, especially a women's sport. For Pete's sake, they did the men's basketball dynasty video on UCLA who haven't won a championship since 1995! When looking at the history of the sport, Maryland is the clear choice and their performance the past 1.5 seasons doesn't negate 14 national championships including 4 of the last 7.

Maryland, UNC and BC appear to be the major winners of the countries best recruits for 21/22. Northwestern is probably 4th. These recruits are picked by different Lacrosse magazines and really are picked for their performance statistics. I question why you feel that their choice of college program would cause them to be placed higher.

Or 2 of the last 5, or even 1 of the last 3. I see Maryland as being in a slight decline. Even if the decline has been only over the last year and a half, the numbers bear me out. That’s only and just my perspective. However, I won’t be shocked if they win another national championship in ‘22, at which point, the word decline will no longer be applicable.

I never said that Maryland didn’t have transfers out, only that it is not an indication of the programs demise.
