I think you need a few more 9s after your decimal point there. The ACC 3rd-place team is going to be an at-large 99.9% of the time.

Well, let me amend my recommendation since the ACC back then barely counted as a 'Lax league' -- only 4 teams, which meant only 3 league games round robin -- and obviously it did not have an AQ. ('Cuse didn't join the acc until the Big East blew up in 2013).

So, my amended pov is that any team that is dead last in an AQ conference is not worthy of post season.
