Note - US tax payer dollars are probably paying for those semi-automatics being handed out by the Ukrainian government.

We agree, governments are a problem and having guns can help thwart that risk! I knew we’d agree on something!!!

This Ukrainian-Russian war is proving that the 2nd amendment is the necessary tool in preserving one’s right and life.

Can you help me understand what you argument is here. Should Ukraine's just lie down and take it...not sure that is what you are implying, which is why I am asking.

Well first, your boy Trudeau just proved that ‘your own government’ is equally capable of full-out totalitarianism and assault when you’re helpless to fight back.

Secondly and more pertinently, it doesn’t matter if the government you’re battling is your own or foreign; the title owner of their tools of oppression doesn’t much matter to a victim. The victim needs to be armed with defenses against government.

Government has always been less likely to invade or oppress when they’re scared of the people. Our founders understood this natural law of limiting government tyranny…unfortunately many left voters today aren’t willing to admit what’s always been in front of their eyes, or frankly, they actually enjoy/prefer the government over the people.

 So what you are saying is that guns in the hands of people only defending themselves against others is what matters? Well...is that not the entire point.

 You get the point. US citizens taking up arms against their own government (for bullsh*t reasons) is not the same as Ukrainians taking up arms against an invading foreign army.

... depends on which Hopkins team shows up. The one that played Loyola will lose. The one with the 3 starters that were missing last week could win.

As Blinken pathetically asked Zelensky to leave Ukraine, my new favorite 2A supporter had this to say in response:

Kellyanne - Ukraine does not have a second amendment!  Their gun laws are tougher than US gun laws.

Ukrainian Gun Law
The Ukrainian parliament passed a law on Wednesday, which allows citizens to carry firearms in public, alongside the enactment of a state of emergency, after Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered troops to eastern Ukraine on Monday.

Previously, Ukrainian citizens were barred from carrying guns outside of their homes.

Odds they go back to barring guns?
