Navy still has 7 potential quality win opportunities if they don't win the AQ :
Hofstra, High Point, JHU, Lehigh, Army, Loyola, & the PL tourney semi final.
Wishful thinking.
Potential
Last time Navy got into the ncaa tourney was as an at-large in 2016.
They had top 20 wins over Loyola, Bucknell, Army & Air Force,
& losses to BU, JHU, MD & Army (in the PL semi-final).
Air Force having a good season got Navy off the bubble & into the tourney.
Where did they finish in the regular season PL that year? This year to many good teams in the PL. Army Lehigh top 2 teams this in the PL. Loyola Navy and Bucknell fight it out for the 3-4 seeds this year.
Navy had the #1 seed in the 2016 PL tourney, but lost in the semi.
My point is -- an opening loss to the Mount is not a big deal in post season at-large opportunities.
The Mount is not likely to finish in the top 20, so it was not a lost QW opportunity.
There remain 7 potential QW opportunities on the sched.
Don't count out Colgate either.

Ok, I see your point.
However, Navy now has a substandard loss, to coin a term, to count against their Non-AQ chances. See HPU 2019. Navy can run the regular season PL schedule and still not qualify if they do not win the PL tourney. I would say if they do not win the PL tourney they have to win all non-conference games from here out. Losing a non-conference game and a tourney game puts them at 12-3 or 13-3 depending on when they lose the tourney game. HPU was 13-3 with wins over Duke & UVA (the eventual national champs that year) and was not selected due to their substandard losses.
With the Ivies playing again, at large bids will be at a premium. And of course there is one less at large berth with a new AQ conference this year.
I think Navy will be at the Championship tourney Memorial Day weekend (if they buy tickets).

How many in-conf QW's did HP have in 2019 ? Navy had 3 in 2016, so Navy only needed 1 ooc QW to squeak in.
One substandard losses do not matter that much unless it brings you under .500 at seasons end.
The way the numbers work, a great deal depends on how well Navy's opponents do -- particularly the teams Navy beats.
In 2016, there were 4 PL top tier teams, including Navy. That's a possibility again. Navy went 3-1 vs the other 3.
AF was the only ooc top tier win.

I counted 62 (!) players on the Navy roster. How many travel with the team?
