a good write up on Joaquin Villagomez and Michael Weisshaar.

Surprised there were not all that many CAA teams who’ve recruited from the final xxx public schools of the PA state title
tournaments. Although those schools do get recruited hard
nowadays by the top 5-10 DI programs.

Mars western PA is a school CAA teams should keep an eye on -

first western PA school to win a state title -

specifically I observed their defense, where certainly a couple of
them fit the profile of the types of defensive players you get
under Nadelen.

Write up on current player,

…Port Coquitlam),

surefire 2023 NLL first-rounder Ryan Sheridan (Hofstra)

and goalie Justin Geddie, who was drafted by Calgary and played very well stepping in to start and earn a win for the San Diego Seals earlier this year.
But while righties Dunbar and Sheridan are no surprises to be leading the team in points per game with 3.9 and 3.4, respectively, Bowman's excellence across the floor on the left side…

NLL,

FIRST TEAM ALL-LEAGUE

Mitch de Snoo (Drexel)
Toronto Rock, Defenseman. In his first season with the Rock, de Snoo led the team in caused turnovers, ranking second in the NLL (39, tied with Brad Kri), loose ball recoveries (185) and blocked shots (18) which were all career highs, earning him the NLL Defensive Player of the Year award. He was a cornerstone of the defense that allowed the lowest goals per game at 9.22. This is de Snoo’s first First Team All-League selection

ALL-ROOKIE TEAM

Reid Bowering (Drexel)
, Vancouver Warriors, Transition. Bowering is the lone defenseman or transition player to make the All-Rookie team this season and was the second overall selection in the 2020 Entry Draft. He set the record for caused turnovers for a rookie (34) and tied the record for loose ball recoveries by a rookie in a season (214). He was one of three players to eclipse 200 loose ball recoveries in a season and set a single game high with 23 on April 30. Mitch de Snoo (Drexel)
of the Toronto Rock
is Our Defender of the Year

The Rock had a lot of lineup changes for various reasons but Mitch de Snoo was one of the constants. The big lefty posted career numbers for loose balls (185 to rank third in the league among non-primary faceoff players) and caused turnovers (39 which was tied for second in the NLL).

Weisshaar’s impact is made all over the field, evidenced by his breakthrough junior year. The left-handed Towson commit did a lot of everything in leading the Cavaliers to a 12-3 mark. In becoming the program’s first C. Markland Kelly Award winner honoring Maryland’s top high school player, he scored 48 goals, dished out 23 assists, totaled 53 ground balls and played a big role in the clearing game.

If that’s the case,
Durkin would be my guess
or one of the UDel guys.

They need an offensive coordinator since Conry and Rogalski are both defensive guys. Your logic is pretty far off

I think you are suggesting that Matt Rewkowski is going to leave the Delaware. He played with Conry at Hopkins. I guess it is possible, but that would suck for the Blue Hens.

That was my initial thought when the job first opened up but I actually think it's more likely to be Drexel's Steven Boyle, another Hopkins grad, though he didn't play with Conry.

Rewkowski isn't going anywhere, he is the no 2 on a top 20 team, and at this point, Delaware is a better program than Hopkins and looks to stay that way for the foreseeable future.

Weird post man, nobody was talking about Hopkins. Plus, feel like that's a rather myopic take!

Anyway, agree that Rewkowski probably isn't going anywhere right now

I meant to mention,
also, Kyle Marr is a volunteer assistant,

so you’ve got Voelker, Boyle, Durkin and Marr.

Ontario Junior A Lacrosse playoffs, the Minto Cup, are underway.
Some good performances from CAA players.

* Mimico who finished in first place in the regular season but haven't done well in the playoffs, their most recent game,
Carter Begley (Drexel) 0g-4a
Justin Sykes (Hofstra) 0-3
Reed Kurtz (Delaware) 0-1
Alex Roussel (Tigers), played in one playoff game and had an assist

* Toronto who finished 2nd in the regular season, in their one playoff win,
Cam and Matt Acchione (Delaware), Cam with 0g-2a

* Oakville finished 4th in the regular season but is looking like the class of the Ontario league so far,
Brian Jackman (UMass, well ex-CAA anyway) with 2g-3a in that team's best playoff game

* St. Catherine's finished in the middle of the pack and hasn't looked good in the playoffs,
Keaton Zavitz (Drexel 2023) with 2g-4a in that team's best playoff game
