Quint and Carc claimed that Tillman told them that, at an accidental meeting at the airport after the game.

But it's nonsense no matter who said it. The Terps were in total control in that game, were up 9-2 with 5 min to go in the 3rd, and then let up a little. Cornell got to 9-6 halfway through Q4, but did not score again until just 36s were left. And they were still down 2. I have no doubt that the Terps would have put up another goal or two if the game went on and they really needed to. But they didn't.
It sounds to me like a throwaway line from Tills
to get rid of Click and Clack, the Tappet brothers.

So to recap, some posters come onto the Maryland board to troll. Maryland posters then react to said trolling. Trolls then troll more.

Sound right?

Cool...cool, cool, cool!

It’s hilarious how they’ve waited 10 years to get a season like this from Maryland and the season they got was Maryland spending the whole season in the Top 10 and being the 4 seed in the tournament. You finally got to see them lose a few games and thought it meant the end of them as a dominant team and they still wound up in the Top 5 and are a threat to make the Final Four! I’d troll to cover up how hurt I am too!

Funny how it’s trash talk from fans of teams who aren’t in the tournament

Tillman has done a fantastic coaching job with this team. All the graduations, injuries and the replacement of the OC. It’s a rag tag bunch. I do think this year they need the Tillman prep time more than ever to cobble together a game plan with whatever pieces they have to work with at the particular time. They can totally make it to the finals but would have a tough time on 1.5 days rest/prep. The fact that without uncalled crease violation goal they beat ND in regulation, beat UVa , Princeton, Penn State, Rutgers twice and Hopkins … got to 10 wins the 20th straight season with this group is a coach with great ability to scramble. The ability to create order from disorder so quickly is very impressive .

Coach Tillman has aways been a true gentleman on and off the field. So unless you know him personal it is unjust to make derogatory remarks. Just a great coach and person. I KNOW

As a lifelong Terps fan of many sports… yeah we absolutely have a chip on our shoulders.

It’s been tougher the last twenty or so years, after the Terps started winning championships in a bunch of sports. :D
