If it appears that Trump will remain on the ballot at the time of the DNC, the democrats will tag Joe out for Gavin or someone else.
You say this like it's a good idea that Trump return to the White House...is that what you're telling us, Kram?

No. I didn't imply or say that at all.
It's just my opinion of the current state and what I think may happen.

Can i get your opinion on whether or not Trump should be put back in the White House? Would he be better than Biden?

:D yup, much worse than Biden.

Kram,
Here's my view. Trump is an existential danger to our system of government and the rule of law. Biden is old, may be losing a a step, was never the sharpest knife in the drawer, but is NOT an existential threat to our system and the rule of law.

So, manhole cover, a stump of wood, would be better than Trump.
Is Biden worse than a manhole cover or stump of wood? No.

So, given only that choice, must go with Biden.

Thank goodness it's clear which PARTY should...MUST...be in charge of the Executive Branch these days...maybe SOMEday the GOP might return to being a legitimate governing partner...but right now they are nowhere CLOSE to that, individual candidates to party "policy", the WHOLE shootin' match is solid GONE.

Now your jerking my chain Dis. It is hard for me to believe any Democrat worth his/her salt would ever believe any republican to be a legitimate governing partner. :D

Wrong again, O' Cranky One...i would LOVE to see bipartisan cooperation in the matter of governing the country...that's a healthy democracy. It's the right in recent years that has all about "NO COMPROMISE" and who coined the term "RINO"...but as long as MAGAts rule the GOP, it ain't gonna happen...

Absolutely right. But C&S has to drone on with the GOP and Kramerica and Old Salt talking points and shill-jobbing. "Democrats want one-party rule, want to disarm everyone, want to replace them, want to cancel them...." Tedious, performative garbage that shows that this era of GOP functionaries in government don't know how, and may not want, to govern, and only know how to use disinformation and the fear they can generate from it.

Going off on a bit of a tangent there counselor. I live in NYS, we have the one party rule system down pat. :D What is scary to me is the vision Democrats have for NYS, or lack of vision, is what they would like to inflict on the rest of the nation if given the chance.

Orange Fatso CONTINUES TO THIS DAY TO LIE about the 2020 election.

One big difference between trump lies and Biden lies. Trump is still aware of his lies, Biden can't remember his lies anymore.

Is that bipartisan ala Reagan and Tip?? You have to step into the way back machine to find bipartisanship anymore. Al Davis defined politics in America today by his famous phrase...just win baby

When too many voters give up on demanding of their representatives that they govern through compromise and persuasion, competing on the basis of their willingness to do so and the strength of their performance and ideas, and limited by the rule of law and Constitution, we open ourselves up to authoritarian governance. One party rule, by any means necessary.

cradle is a perfect example of a voter who has given up.

Who else on here has given up?

I haven't.

MAGA has given up on liberal constitutional democracy and the rule of law.
And Trump offers them a path to power, by any means necessary.

The real problem (maybe the additional and maybe bigger problem) is that Trumpism has forced members of the GOP Congressional delegation into a box in which compromise is dirty, RINO activity, resulting in invective and costly primaries and, maybe even worse, loss of that sweet job on Capitol Hill. Even in the gerrymandered districts GOP Congressman and -women need to placate the Trumpian Mob. A system of government based on compromise and consensus has not eliminated the ability to do just that. For proof of concept, take a peak at the 60 GOP members visiting the border yesterday in an expensive, legislatively useless performance, while Biden asks for and offers $13.5 billion for border-related funding.

“Let me tell you, I’m not willing to do too damn much right now to help a Democrat and to help Joe Biden’s approval rating,” Republican Rep. Troy Nehls of Texas said. “I will not help the Democrats try to improve this man’s dismal approval ratings. I’m not going to do it.”

I gave up a long time ago. Maybe it was when a young army private from Albany NY was making his first real airborne jump with his unit the 2/208 airborne infantry. Maybe it was a young specia;ist who welcomed him and helped him put his chute on rig up all of his gear. Maybe it was that specialist who saw him motionless on the drop zone that night. Maybe it was that specialist who held him in his arms and wiped the mud out of his face. Maybe it was that specialist who hasnt forgotten that young private. Maybe it is that specialist who cant remember his face not covered in mud. Maybe today that specialist will call someone at the VA and tell them what has bothered him for so many years Ironic that today is when that all happened... January 4 1982.
