YouTube and the rest of the Internet is filled with stories nowadays about tRump and the bad smells he carries:

Ex-GOP lawmaker doubles down on claim Trump smells – ‘of armpits, ketchup and butt’
‘It’s not good. The best way to describe it... take armpits, ketchup, a butt and makeup and put that all in a blender and bottle that as a cologne,’ Adam Kinzinger said

https://www.the-independent.com/news/wo ... 71229.html

'I’ve been amazed that everybody is just kind of learning about this now,” he added.

The Independent has reached out to a Trump spokesperson for comment.

Claims around the former president’s alleged odour erupted last week when the former Illinois Republican representative tweeted: “I’m genuinely surprised how people close to Trump haven’t talked about the odor. It’s truly something to behold. Wear a mask if you can.”

Funny how Brits call such expulsions "trumps".

Not only will he win the nomination....Republicans LOVE this man.

91 felony indictments, and they don't care.

Remember when Gary Hart was eliminated from nomination simply because he had an affair?

I ADORE that Republicans think that the lefties are the ones who have taken American values and thrown them in the toilet.

Denial much?

No kidding, huh? I'm amazed. I'll still be stunned if he's actually on the ballot. I can't imagine he still has a chance after the constant sh*tstorm outsurrounding him for the last decade. We shall see...

He's the leader in all Republican polling, and no one is even close.

And it's not even a discussion among the National Republican Party to NOT nominate him.

So......he's going to be their nomination for POTUS. None of his trials will finish before the RNC convention....so that won't effect anything.

ONW, this is the sort of exchange that I find perplexing.

Even the most cursory reading of ANY standard fare news media, local newspaper or national, or a half hour on ANY of the major network news broadcasts and you'd stumble across this reality that Trump is way, way ahead in all polling (NH somewhat closer but an anomaly and irrelevant if the others come in as expected) and there's been no serious discussion of him not winning the nomination. It's overwhelming. And other than Christie who is polling below 5%, no one else is even attempting to change that reality by saying the stark truth that Trump is immensely unfit for office and should go to jail.

And unless SCOTUS completely shocks all political and legal pundits, Trump won't be excluded from the ballot. That too is apparent with any cursory reading.

And you'll also notice the angst and downright handwringing of straight media, much less left leaning media, and rather gleeful pleasure from right wing media, over the polling that shows that Trump could actually win nevertheless.

It feels like you're just pretending to be so uniformed. If so, is it just a trolling play, for sh-ts and giggles?

Wouldn't be the first time that I didn't understand someone's sense of humor.

How death threats get Republicans to fall in line behind Trump

Do "they all" do this? Is this situation being caused by Donald J Trump alone?

Sure seems like it...read the piece for A LOT of evidence and documentation.

Judge Drops Most—but Not All—Counts in Trump’s Jan. 6 Civil Case

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/judge ... ffaa&ei=15

AU.S. district court judge on Tuesday dismissed most of the civil counts against former President Donald Trump and several others for their alleged role in the death of U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, who died while defending the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Sicknick’s parter, Sandra Garaza, filed the lawsuit last January, alleging wrongful death, conspiracy to violate civil rights, two counts of negligence under an anti-riot law in Washington, D.C., and a claim under the D.C. Survival Act.

But on Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta, an appointee of former President Barack Obama, dismissed three out of the five counts—leaving only the conspiracy to violate civil rights charge and the D.C. Survival Act claim.
The move is likely a win for Trump and his fellow defendants, though the lawsuit will still move forward with the core allegations on which it was filed.

Sicknick was killed in the Jan. 6 attack after rioter Julian Khater sprayed him with a chemical spray from less than eight feet away, causing Sicknick to collapse. Sicknick died the following day at a local hospital.

The District of Columbia’s Chief Medical Examiner said that Sicknick died of natural causes but that “all that transpired on [January 6] played a role in his condition,” which led to his death.

Expect the courts to rig all the cases in his favor as it seems he is fated to go back into the White Wash House so that he can complete the job of screwing over the nation.

Loved Don Rickles. He was indeed great.

I know a little about a few things. As a rule, I never watch the news. Has been my rule for decades. Too depressing. I am also a devoted subscriber to the Don Henley theory on the news media, regardless of which side of the aisle.

Dirty little secrets, dirty little lies;
We got our dirty little fingers in everybody's pie.
Love to cut you down to size, we love dirty laundry.
We can do the innuendo, we can dance and sing;
When it's said and done, we haven't told you a thing.
We all know that crap is king, give us dirty laundry.

I am deliberate about watching the news only when I want to know about the weather--when snow is coming during the winter, and when we might have a break in the heat wave/high dew point in the summer. We don't have the news on at work. I don't listen to it in the car. If anything of huge importance happens, I'll hear about it in my travels from a coworker, family or friend.

Some of you are great about answering this dullard's political questions. Politics for Dummies is my speed. And even then I might need a thing or two explained. There are two classes from my misspent youth that I wish I had been attentive for--Government/Civics and English/Grammar. Way past the age (or attention span at this point) of jinin up and taking a class or two, I cut to the front of the line here, as it were, to get the straight dope on specifics in politics. Again--thanks gents. (I get the impression it's all gents here in the Politics board but I'm probably wrong.)

Funny how trump became the defacto leader of a party when for all of his time in New York he was a Democrat feathering the nests of any politician that would help grease the skids of his real estate investments. :D Why they even loved him over at NBC when the Apprentice has ratings through the roof. IMO the Democrat vendetta against trump, while totally understandable, seems to keep having the effect of solidifying trumps support. How ironic that trump is playing the role of victim and having success doing so.

The left's only, best plan for getting Joe elected at this point is to get Trump taken off the ballot in a couple purple states. That's it. They know Biden's numbers are bad and won't show well in an election. He could barely function 4 years ago.

If it appears that Trump will remain on the ballot at the time of the DNC, the democrats will tag Joe out for Gavin or someone else.

Do the Democrats really want Gavin to be their candidate? If he does for America what he has done for California then the nation is screwed. Gavin just signed legislation granting free healthcare to all of the illegals in his state. 700 thousand plus people wii receive the best health care the taxpayers of California can afford. I'm certain the right to vote can't be too much further behind.
