First of all, your ownership of debt numbers are still wrong, but let's set that aside.

What you are suggesting is that we intentionally default on a debt by swapping that debt for......what, exactly? We have to give up something of value to another country...what could you possibly imagine that to be?

And you understand that no one will want to lend us money anymore if we follow this advice of yours right? So the day we default...we can't borrow anymore. So....what do you suggest we do to keep the lights on in America when that happens?

Wouldn't the easier path be to simply pay our fair share of taxes, and stop borrowing money for no reason other than we have Americans who don't want to pay their tab?

I’ve come to feel sorry for HBS and Yale Law grads, mostly the ones who constantly remind you of their degrees. Trust me, I hire many of them.

Their problems are in fact worse than the ‘common man’s’. Many are self-hating egotists, prone to cracking under pressure, no faith in god, awful interpersonal relationships, constantly evaluating themselves against unachievable results, ultimate fakers unable to be real.

I’ll take an engineer any day. The common man is far superior.

That's precisely what most of us here want! You're preaching to the choir.

Raise taxes to a reasonable, sustainable level.

Cut unneeded services.

Problem solved.

Trump could have done that at any point in his first two years when he controlled government with the R's.

What did they do? They increased spending, and cut taxes, just as they always do.

And obviously the solution to this spending is socialism, according to many of the same ‘most of us here’. Bernie over Trump, right?

 Right. Because Trump isn't a socialist, right? Please. Trump left "socialist" Obama in the dust $3 Trillion+ in new spending ago, remember? What do you think all that money is for?

Handouts. How many billions did farmers get?

And well.....we discussed this already, didn't we? Anytime you and your industry want to turn in your Federal and State subsidies and privatize all those airports, let me know. Start there.

You think socialism is bad? Great. Heal thyself, and send your lobbyist the DC to private the industry. The Chinese would be overjoyed to buy DIA or OHare.

I'm not sure you'd be all that happy with what they'd charge you to land. But I'd be thrilled to not have to hand you my tax dollars over so you can turn a profit. I'm in!

The engineers & technical pilots at Boeing knew there were potential new emergency failure modes, due to the addition of the MCAS on the MAX.
Emergencies which could be quickly recognized & safely dealt with if the pilots received transition training, including simulator training, when qualifying to fly the new MAX. The bean counter MBA's wanted to save the training $$$ for their customers by advertising that the transition training need only be a 2 hr self-administered online course. They sold the FAA on it & intimidated some hesitant foreign nation aviation authorities to accept it. ...some Boeing MBA's deserve jail time for this (imho).

As a graduate of an Engineering school, I can tell you that MANY of my classmates and those from other classes attended both HBS and Yale Law. I found this also to be true about other engineering schools as I interacted with those people post-graduation. I don't know if you attended an engineering school, but no idea how you arrived at this conclusion. IMHO it is exactly these kinds of unsubstantiated materials some try to foist on others to make some kind of a point. This is actually pointless as there is no point if there are to facts to back-up such declarations.

I think what you meant is ‘some’ of your engineering classmates attended “either” HBS or Yale Law. I mean not many persons attend both schools let alone are an engineer.

No matter. I have 35 engineers whom I work with every day. None attended business school nor law school. Generally, their common sense is phenomenal.

The program listed far above in another post is a 30 person scholarship to HBS. I believe HBS has 1000 attendees per year?

Do engineers get graduate business degrees? Sure. It’s also clearly a sore issue to point out that engineers are generally in the business of real world problem solving and not theoretical degree accumulating. I get the distinct sense there is something afoot here that I have stumbled upon.

Carry on.

I'd appreciate you not telling me what I meant - I meant what I said which, in no way, meant BOTH. It illustrates your problem - you not only know it all but you feel obligated to tell everyone else they are wrong and you are right - Frankly you sound exactly like those arrogant grads of those school that you dislike so intensely. My advice would be for you to stop talking and start listening or, i other words STFU for a while.
