I just thought it was loud and dumb, not particularly funny nor amusing. Not clever, just obnoxious.

Man you might’ve taken a punch from Michael Richards in the crowd at his shows.

Sometimes spoken word can be funnier than stand up…

And if that doesn’t get you and this one doesn’t either then I think you may be dead. (Like also stolen from an old comedy when trying to figure out which eunuch was not cut in History of the World)

+1 as is par for the course the crass humor on this forum if left wing generated is NEVER criticized by certain life long Conservative Republicans. :D
FTR I appreciate all different types of humor even when I don't agree with it. Lenny Bruce is the perfect example of shutting up comedians whose particular brand of comedy is offensive to some. They threw Lenny Bruce in jail for being too vulgar. America wasn't ready for a Lenny Bruce back in the 60s.

Parodying the Seething Railers

I’ve read some/heard some comments over the last few years about former President Trump. They read/sounded exactly like what Breuer parodies here. The waking up in the middle of the night cursing Trump segment? Perfect! I've muted folks on Twitter because they would go on and on, day and night, in like manner--OBSESSED--about Trump and how evil he is, listing all the evil things he's done with a devoted proselytizing fervor.

(And how predictable that the Self-Appointed One would look down his nose at this oh-so-accurate comedy routine and wag his finger at those who find it amusing.)

"Do better." ?? Seriously--who does this guy think he is?

Thank goodness for freedom of speech in the good ol' U S of A.

Thanks again for introducing this, YA. It's a keeper.

Hannah Arendt

... Intellectual, spiritual, and artistic initiative is as dangerous to totalitarianism as the gangster initiative of the mob, and both are more dangerous than mere political opposition. The consistent persecution of every higher form of intellectual activity by the new mass leaders springs from more than their natural resentment against everything they cannot understand. Total domination does not allow for free initiative in any field of life, for any activity that is not entirely predictable. Totalitarianism in power invariably replaces all first-rate talents, regardless of their sympathies, with those crackpots and fools whose lack of intelligence and creativity is still the best guarantee of their loyalty.

He is telling us gis intentions. Hitler was elected. Neither he nor Stalin telegraphed their intentions. Trump does

Yup, thank goodness for freedom of speech.

I guess I triggered you snow flakes by exercising that freedom to reveal that there’s no clothes on that emperor, it just isn’t very funny, not clever, just loud. But you are also ‘free’ to think it’s funny.

Yes this movement claiming "Liberty!!!!" thinking they are embodied braveheart but reality is they want socialism, the dragging down of effort and talent so they can have more. Easier to start with the existentialist dread of life and work backwards than the other way around...

We learned about Lenny Bruce back in my freshman social studies class in high school.
Picked it up becuase I was a bigt Christian Slater fan from Heathers and True Romance his character reads in it Pump up the Volume (which also has an interesting take on a Pixies song performed by a great girl band called Concrete Blonde). More precisely I was into Slater and OBSESSED with Winona Ryder (and Elisabeth Shue) when I was younger. The unquenchable thirst has been strong in me for a long time...

That's how I learned stuff, follow the seeds on the ground. My older sister was in Boston in the late 80s so learned about the Rat and heard of the Pixies then read a Kurt Cobain auto where he talks about Smells Like Teen Spirit was created as a ripoff of a pixies song and realized "man I need to get on this train". Just follow the crumbs in life where they lead and you get exposed to a lot. Probably helpe my 12yr older sister was feeding me her broke artisitic worldview as a drama major (and masters ultimately that she barely used once she had kids) along with parents who were too busy whooping each other to be really focused on what I was getting into.

Oh thank you So Much for letting us snow flakes know we're 'free' to find humor in a comedy routine. How magnanimous of you.

(If that is indeed the case--who was the "Do better." directed at?)
