What’s up with all the high and wide shots?

Offense is shooting horribly. Everything else is pretty good

Terrible shooting quarter. Couple of open looks that you just have to get on cage (Collison, Degnon, Chauvette, Bauer from the crease). Then some really poor pass-it-to-the-goalie shots from Melendez and Degnon.

Chase really sharp and D looks good except for the breakdown at the end of the quarter. Best play of the half was Smith stripping Bundy. Especially because Ayers was hung up in the sub game and GT was onb the verge of getting a numbers advantage on a midline sub.

GT poling English, which is smart. Someone was going to catch on eventually.

Grimes you gotta finish that pal.

Jaronski selling out to block these shots, love that from the grad student.

Ierlan seeing it well.

Need to create some separation here.

Better possession there. GT's SSDMs are way more physical than what we saw in the first two games. Better to keep the ball moving than trying to iso those guys.

They're poling our small/quick midfield initiators, which has been pretty smart. Need the big boys (9, 16, 51) to step up now and shut the door.

Thought PM and JC let a timeout go into the ether on the last EMO - shot clock is at 80 - game clock is under that - you have an EMO. The worst outcome for Hopkins should be 6-4 at half with Hopkins taking the last shot - so on that 30 second EM its either an uncontested lay-up or a time and room from 8 or less. Otherwise you hold the ball. Instead they feed a cutting freshman almost immediately - not his strength and you have to survive a 50 seconds or so of Hoya possession.

Low turnovers is a good sign

Saw a G'town coach discussing the face-offs with refs when coverage came back

Yup. Other problem is that #16 and #40 are both excellent on-ball SSDMs. Need to keep the ball moving.

That's a horrendous call. Maybe 1 minute, but Stoebner is simply sliding across the face of the shooter there. There's no direct contact to the head or an "intent" issue.

It was a serious flop too
