Slow rolling just in case. It's a smart move, financially.spidey44 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 1:35 pmWhile I don't think the addition is in jeopardy, I also don't believe the administration is working very hard on moving forward...LaxPundit07 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 7:31 am
I have no reason to believe the addition of WLAX at FSU is in jeopardy. I think they are doing their due diligence on a hire.

Re: Coaching Carousel 2024
Anyone else surprised there have been only 4 women's coaches that were let go or stepped down? Didn't follow this nearly as close in previous seasons, but figured there would be more than 4 this year...

Can anyone confirm that Adam Sear left Notre Dame? That was talked about at Live Love LAX.

Sadly, not really. Not as a simple as performance based decisions. Just reinforces that for the overwhelming majority of AD's, women lacrosse is not high on the priority list. Easier to keep a coach who is already under contract, than swallow the contract and hire someone new. If you are an AD and no off field "headlines" for issues on the team, easier to keep what you have and focus on other sports. And even when they get bad press "headlines" (mental health, DUI, etc), that sometimes isn't enough for an AD to make a change. And who knows - maybe a new coach might bring you "off field" baggage issues you would now have to deal with? One opinion anyway.

Pretty sure he’s top shelf. Here’s a guess. FSU?LaxPundit07 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2024 11:08 amPerhaps for an HC gig? Not familiar with his reputation in the sport.laxfan9999 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2024 7:58 am Can anyone confirm that Adam Sear left Notre Dame? That was talked about at Live Love LAX.

Heard he is taking a break from coaching. He was good friends with the lacrosse players killed in Mexico and it hit him hard.

Awful, awful story. I can see how someone would be reconsidering a lot of things about life.laxfan9999 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2024 1:31 pm Heard he is taking a break from coaching. He was good friends with the lacrosse players killed in Mexico and it hit him hard.
