Looking forward to seeing some UNC parents and sharing a cold beverage.

:D
Looking forward to a good report Doc!!
Beautiful day at Ridley...Goods vs Goods started. Initially the D dominated on both ends and it took a few trips to score.

Just take this with a grain of salt. IT IS FALL BALL, nothing should be considered "real". I did keep an unofficial score track. UNC came out and scored the first 3. Loyola took about 7 minutes to score, but ran off the next 6. UNC then scored 3 and Loyola 2 then UNC 4 to end the first half.

UNC won the 2nd half by 9-5.

They played 15 min. quarters and I liked the flow. Both teams seemed to go deep on the bench. I didn't focus on the UNC bench subbing, but Loyola got every healthy player time in the game.

UNC won probably 60-65% of the draws. UNC's ride is legit and caused at least 5 TOs maybe more. Seemed like the best play that the Hounds had was a cutter rubbing off a stack to left side of the fan, shooting across the goalie. UNC was clearly the faster team.

Dirks and Aldave both contributed and looked well integrated into the team (rich get richer) :D . Aldave looked fast and free of her past knee issue.

Not sure if this is good enough for you Sea.
Good report Doc, thanks. Aldave played midfield or attack? What was UNC’s attack rotation?

Loyola No. 24 play? Healthy?

24 is still on the mend. Andie played middie. They seemed to run hockey lines at midfield. Unfortunately, I didnt focus on the attack rotation. Maybe one of the posters here is tied to UNC.

UNC left the game to go down the road and play Towson. 1 hour between their games. Play Navy tomorrow at a local HS.

I did. Fall ball scores are totally irrelevant. Hopkins controlled the game for the most part. Was a good day of competition between the 5 teams there. Some teams chose to play everyone on the roster, other's did not. Most games were close between all the teams although Duquesne seemed to struggle against the other 4.

Yes. The playday was between Hopkins, Syracuse, Va Tech, MSM and Duquesne. In the couple Cuse games I saw the goalies played well. All in all it was pretty sloppy as was the play day at MD I went to last weekend. That's to be expected in the fall as it's nearly impossible for girls to get into much of a groove in 35 min games when lineups are changing every few mins. Not to mention they aren't really running any sort of offense for the most part.

Both playdays were short games so no quarters

I think quarters is going to be good this year!

Did they play the new 60 second shot clock rule?

Are they shortening the shot clock to 60 seconds for women's lax? I missed that.

In specific circumstances is my understanding:

The possession clock will reset to 60 seconds if 59 or fewer seconds remain on the possession clock if the offense retains possession of the ball after a save by the goalkeeper and rebound or if a shot hits the piping on the goal. If more than 59 seconds remain on the possession clock, no reset is necessary.

I do like the new shot clock rule. I am not yet sold on quarters. I think they have removed one of the unique features of the game.

I was at Hopkins. Good game. Hopkins ended up winning by one or two. Pretty evenly matched teams.
