Nothing to do with lacrosse but..doesn't seem the time to identify with " wikipedia.org/wiki/Gwar ".

Looks like Roanoke is feeling the burn. No mention of eliminating athletic programs yet, however.

Many Americans seem to be in the mood to tear down our history and start fresh. Makes one wonder what might happen to Lynchburg University? Or, even Washington & Lee?
The ODAC might look a lot different in 2021.
That petition has unsurprisingly gone nowhere. John Lynch, who the city is named after, was an abolitionist.

Don’t know if any other changes at Guilford but they have eliminated the sports information department. Not sure what their plan is going forward to take care of those vacant job duties but someone’s got to pick up the slack now.

Just heard that W&L will not have fall sports competition in 2020. Haven’t seen this elsewhere so can any one confirm?

Confirmed

Lacrosse may still have fall ball. Question whether the VMI scrimmage takes place -- formerly known as the "Lee-Jackson Classic".

Apparently the ODAC is still planning some type of season for Fall sports. Kudos to them!!!

The Washington and Lee Prez is certainly not much on imaginative thinking..

I assume that any athlete on the Fall teams will get a waiver for another year of eligibility.....

???? That statement makes it pretty clear Fall Ball wouldn't happen at all if you take it at it's face. If fall sports can't practice or do organized activity, how do you take that to mean a spring sport could

They are going to have students back on campus, and appear to be anticipating a large number of them back. Do not think it would be that tough for at least cross country to compete.

Expect Winter sports to be next- in the midst of the name change battle.

The Q&A states:

Spring season teams will have their non-traditional season in the fall, with sixteen practice opportunities over a five-week period.

Thoughts and prayers to the W&L athletics support staff if they have their fall teams playing in the spring as that release indicates is a possibility. Adding seven sports to the spring in what is already the busiest season as it is under normal conditions. Glad I won't have to deal with anything like that anymore. Though if Lynchburg does that I could potentially be getting some good freelance money on the nights and weekends ;)
