Cole’s aggressiveness I have no problems with. But 1 goal on 9 shots, even when he puts 6 of those on goal? We know he can shoot like a big man (blistering shots), but he wasn’t today. One-third of the new Michigan goalie’s saves came against Cole. Some of those shots were more like turnovers.

Yale game was in Atlanta. I was at it. Yale could have won by (basically) as much as they wanted. 4th quarter was garbage time.
4th quarter today was garbage time when Michigan scored three of their goals in front of their home crowd.
Well heck. You've convinced me. Hopkins = Yale. Championship, here "we" come!

I don't understand Zinn not getting some run on an offensive line. His first step is almost always quick, decisive and instinctive. If he was really hurt why would you play him as a wing where there is plenty of grinding?

Don't ever question anything the coaching staff does. They have reasons for everything, and those are always the correct reasons, 100% of the time.

The story of yesterday was the play of the odd-man units: EMO went 4-9, man-down was 4-4. That's an 8-goal swing. Man-down has quietly played pretty well this year. If only the 6v6 defense could play with the same urgency.

Disappointed that all the "reserved" seats for Homecoming this weekend are sold out...was hoping to sit on the usual spot behind the Jays bench. Only available seats on that side of the field are all the way in the left corner. Otherwise all that's left is the University parkway side. Seen a lot of Hopkins games, have never watched one from that side.

That’s the best side. In the sun, warmer, people with less clothing on display.

That and as soon as Dixon stated Michigan had the pieces for an offensive juggernaut they forgot how to pass and carry the ball. :D :D :D

Rut-roh.

Rutgers up 7-2 at halftime AT undefeated #4 Ohio State.

Nothing easy from here on out.

DMac,

Not too far off with your 17-6 prediction.

You got the single digits and DDs right.

(DD = double digits)

8-4 Rutgers in the third.

Frankly, Ohio State SHOULD lose with those ugly gray
uniforms and that ugly gray stadium.

OSU is a paper tiger. Their season will be changing quite a bit in the upcoming weeks.

Rutgers wins 14-6. No more undefeated Mlax teams.

Edelmann made 17 saves.

Rutgers won only 5 of 22 faceoffs, but it sounded like they caused a lot of turnovers immediately after OSU won faceoffs.

This does set up a situation where a 2-3 B1G regular season might not be enough to get into the conference tourney (if several teams wind up 2-3, and a tiebreaker forces one out).

Good luck to Hopkins next weekend. Based on what I saw today at the shoe, they are going to need it. Rutgers has a lot of weapons and it will be interesting to see what “adjustments” Petro can make. I hope he watched the game today and started scouting. This is a must win for Hopkins.

I was castigated here preseason for calling out cole and marr for all the penalties they committed last year. Danny Jones has EIGHT through 9 games. What is the justifiable reason for this?

Simple. You’re easily castigated.

Shows how behind-the-times you are. I traded in my lemon trees two years ago for two-dozen mature palm trees, a swimming pool, and four small waterfalls.
