CDC claims an estimated 60 MILLION US citizens got H1N1, Which effected EVERY age group, unlike , apparently, V19. What closed? Did Willard Romney blame the POTUSA, at the time, for the "swine flu" ?
Pretty much sums up your viewpoint. Can you, with surety, state that the V19 "death" count is ALL V19 related? That humans dying of the flu, or other respiratory issues, aren't being lumped in with V19?
I was using the average of the upper and lower estimates from the CDC from 2010 to 2017: https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/in ... nce%202010.runrussellrun wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 6:57 amCDC claims an estimated 60 MILLION US citizens got H1N1, Which effected EVERY age group, unlike , apparently, V19. Which year are you using for your math?
The 2017/18 flu season, an "estimated" 61,000 humans died of the flu in the USA. Not sure what your point is, though.

I eyeballed it initially - after running the actual numbers using the average of the upper and lower estimates for those 7 years, the average is around 38,000 dead annually. So it would take nearly 26 years for us to reach that 1 million dead.
My point is that Coronavirus is deadlier than the flu, which is one reason why we had shutdowns and implemented social distancing, masks, etc.
The CDC says 60 million citizens got H1N1 and 12,000 people died of it. The CDC says 7 million people have gotten Coronavirus and 204,000 people have died from it. What's your point?

Stop worry-warting yourself to death in advance of Covid. Sheesh, you people are such lightweights. By the way, don't have sex any more either; I hear HPV is going around.... I'll handle all the women in your absence!

My point is that Coronavirus is deadlier than the flu and more importantly that Petey's 99.696% "joke" is actually deadly serious. But he doesn't care.

WHO CARES........less CO2 , a very, very, dangerous gas, is being emitted. 500 tons less. Great news. I hope the number gets even higher.njbill wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 11:15 am 210,000.

I brought it up (swine) because it affected ALL ages. V19 IS only killing the old, or very sick. And yet, schools remained open, even though it killed pretty evenly, across all ages. What closed? And, Romney didn't go to the 2012 GOP convention with a guest speaker talking , rather blaming, the death of their parent on Obama. Did he? Sure some nut jobs blamed Obama.holmes435 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 11:22 amThen why bring up the swine flu and the questions about what closed and Romney?runrussellrun wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 11:18 amI didn't make a point. At that time Sweden was 294, France 360, UK 397; Italy 469.
USA is now up to 634 deaths per million pop.
So we've now caught up to and passed all those countries.
We still have a little way to go before we pass Spain. But we'll get there.
Shows how bad we've been doing the past five months relative to our peers.
