One of my favorite teams to root for was that ‘15 hop FF team and the ‘14 qf team. I like hop. Great history. The Yankees of lax. too bad some of the alumni fans are unbearable lunatics.

Have you ever considered the possibility that some are simply fans of the sport of lacrosse and root for certain teams based on the players on the field? I’ve rooted for your lame school before when some studs on the team were so fun to watch I didn’t want to see them knocked out before the national title game. This year I didn’t. Stay mad

No worries . They are not winning. Definitely will battle. This is stall order. Plus ND is battled tested.!!

UVA looked like they just expounded way too much energy last week and came in on yellow. Maryland winning faceoffs and easily dealing with the Notre Dame ride meant they pretty quickly pushed UVA into the red with the possession deficit and the amount of defense the Cavs had to play.

I thought the difference in Maryland's configuration compared to March was a big factor on offense. UVA never felt like they needed to slide to Malever or Erksa behind the cage. They did feel they had to support on Spanos and anytime there was a little hedge or slip, the Terps were there. Maryland has always been able to keep UVA's offense in check with the way Zappitello locks down Shellenberger and he did it again; the difference in the March game was Schutz dominated his matchup and was a secondary initiator the Cavs really lacked all year. Schutz was quiet today and kinda had been down the stretch for UVA. Things tilted towards Maryland in the 6-on-6 and then Wierman compounded the advantage with how dominant he was.

Great win. This run is Tillman's best coaching job and it would be amazing to cap it off with a championship. Either way, this month for Terps fans I think has been almost as amazing in 2022. Incredibly blessed to get cracks at the title every year. Maybe this year it bounces their way after a couple of those others didn't

Also, I’ve said it before and I’ll repeat it here: Maryland is the one team that can beat ND. ND favored on Draftkings right now by 3. I need to think things over before betting.

Attendance 32,269. Seems like less or maybe fans didn't stay for both games.

ESPN does a really good job hyping the correct fan stands.

I do think the sport plays better for everyone (television and in-person) in a stadium like Navy’s. Just the perfect size, and a great destination for Memorial Day (though I think the naval academy has a timing issue which is too bad).

Heard from folks there that Notre Dame fans dipped after the first game. Lot of casuals probably started filtering out second half as Maryland got up big.

It's a solid number and the NFL stadiums continue to be dependable hosts of the options available. If they ever pushed the season back and Navy became available, that would be perfect. As it stands, the status quo works

Stop baiting. I've never slandered UVa like he has with other schools - especially calling other teams as dusty, washed up, and calling out players as crap. In fact I congratulate UVa on a great win after Hopkins lost.

Talent is not the issue. Defense has been undisciplined all year. They created more slides themselves, than Maryland dodgers. Midfield dodging was exposed on offense. That and a totally lack of creativity. Maryland defense dictated the match-ups.
