Sayler was really good but the best recently was PJ. We'd do well to recruit academically talented com college players. Not only can we offer $, but also an MSc in Management.
Still, Raymond's developmental model actually fits us best overall.
I don’t really consider coming in from a CC transfer in that they have a fresh opportunity to go to a “4yr degree granting institution” as if they were in HS but with a ton of AP credits basically.

The Kerwick years we brought in a lot of talent but had a lot of attrition. Two stud transfers in- Jamie Kirk and Mark Williamson m, but lost kids like David OQuinn, Jeff Ryan, Ben wahler, Brandon Buchmyer, Nick Blumer, will Harrington, Ryan Liebel & Jeremy Tossenbaum amongst others.

Was the difference between 2-4, 3-3 in the ECAC/7-7, 6-8 type records and being more like 9-5, 10-4 and likely ranked those years.

Not really true historically, as we had several CC transfers in the 80's--granted not many worked out, though. Cornell made a living off Farmingdale & Nassau transfers in the 80's, too. But more recently, the incoming CC transfer student/athletes don't see Hobart as a destination--Wilbur stepping down as OCC coach didn't help, either...

If HPU is a road game I’ll be there and calling any SE folks to set up a folk fest style jam on their campus

I assume that away games with HPU and Richmond will occur on alternate years so that the team is taking one long road trip a year.

Damn it'll be a rough year if we get to SBU at 1-4. Won't have a LIU, MSM, SHU (I know we lost but were playing with half a team in that game, they weren't very good and we still blew it) on the back end like prior years to make up for a sub 25% record first half of the year.

Prov may need a year or two but will be a tough opponent and Lehigh was making excuses before the game was even over for their loss so that will be beyond physical at their home court.

Anyone down to party in the Triad region?

Cuse followed by Cornell. Now that is going to be tough. If you want to excel, you have to play the big boys.

RoMo too will have to be healthy and consistent to avoid a 2 win season

Considering how much of our offense graduated, there are ZERO easy wins in this schedule. Probably the toughest schedule we've had since the Patriot league days.

We've anticipated some tough rebuilding years in the past. Same situation this year. Especially with Madonna gone. But We've had some nice surprises in those years too. A 2 win season is possible, but if a few 2 point games swing in our direction, it could be a good year in a tough league. They have nothing to lose and expectations are low. It is a wonderful coaching opportunity. And we'll see some new guys get a chance to show their stuff. With our returning D I expect us to be in games until the end, but which O players will take us to the W? It'll be exciting to find out.
