MD might be that team to beat UNC. Maybe even on Memorial day weekend.
If they put UMD in UNCs bracket for a quarter final or final 4… UNC will be worried. They only want to play UMD in the final because they know it will be a titanic battle.
Funny since Maryland didn’t want to play UNC this year - at all
That’s what makes UMD scary. The fear of the unknown and unmatched championship legacy.

Well, hopefully UNC won’t choke a big one again with an all star team.

How many current Terps have been to the Final Four? Seven? Championship weekend experience has been a major advantage to MD teams, and this version of the Terps has far, far less of it than in any other year in recent memory. MD is a good team and I think they have a solid chance of getting there, but I don't think they're going to beat a team that's better than them. Or if they do manage that, it won't be because they're Maryland and they have all this ~*~championship legacy~*~. It would be more on par with what BC did last year than what MD teams have done in the past. Things have changed a lot in the last few years. This team isn't special just because they have the Maryland flag plastered all over their jerseys.

I doubt it is intended as humor. It’s a pattern of bullying towards - again - college kids that try their best to win….pretty lame.

This ^^ was not addressed towards you but to ONW or whatever his screen name is .
Personally I would welcome a game with UNC and Maryland I think it would be great lacrosse . I just know that Reese did not want to play UNC this season so that was why I had made the previous comment .

Whatever the reason was for not scheduling the game, I hope it gets back on each team's OOC schedule next year.

Objectively…are we getting ahead of ourselves a bit talking about final fours for the Terps? Yes they are better this year. But one win against a quality opponent in the easiest schedule they have had in years? And that win on their home turf/silly surface that no other Lax team plays on. Let’s see if they win the Big10 tourney first before we anoint them as having re-arrived. My bet is they lose in the final if they even make it there. Maryland is relevant again, let’s just leave it at that.

BiG Ten is 6-2 vs the ACC this year.
Take a look at those eight games and tell me what you think. The top three teams in the ACC are 2-1...against Northwestern. Maryland hasn't played UNC, Syracuse, BC or Duke. Maryland is 1-0 against the ACC...because it played UVA, which is currently 8-8 and in the bottom half of the ACC.
I happen to like Maryland, Reese, Phipps, and the way they play. But the anointment of them as suddenly a sure thing final four or championship game team, having beaten a single good team this year, seems premature.

I’m just sayin that UNC had 2 tough games and Terps had 1 and play in a tougher conference below the top two in the conference.

I am doubtful that Maryland is playing in a tougher conference, top to bottom. That said, I think Maryland is a very good team. I take it the "tough games" for UNC didn't include the Northwestern team it beat 20-9, but that you are alluding to the Syracuse and BC games.

Just for the record, I didn’t make the comment—the usage of the quotes got all messed up. But if you trace the names with comments, the choke comment here wasn’t mine.
