Hey, I like haikus,
But it's tough to say as much,
In only three lines!
It's either a thoughtful comment or smartass sarcasm. Learn to recognize the difference.

Power ranking the jobs

1A-Denison-Blue Blood
1B-Gettysburg-Blue Blood
2-Bowdoin-NESCAC money
3-Messiah- Built in recruiting pitch with proven success in other sports
4-Wabash- Good academics but all male and location might hurt appeal to some
5-William Peace- Good Location in a growing region in terms of recruiting. USA South is winnable
6-Guilford- ODAC school which has appeal But how is the school doing with finances?
7-Manhattanville- Good area to recruit
MASSIVE GAP
8-Concordia Chicago- You have Chicago to sell but low roster numbers does not show a ton of success in that area
9-W&J- Good academics but again very low roster numbers, Near enough to Pittsburgh
10-Heidelberg-Has had some success in the past, but very small roster
11-Beloit- Not to long ago they had a good sized roster and won the conference regular season. Last 2 coaches really set the program back
12- Medaille- Small roster but Buffalo? Small endowment, not sure how long this program lasts
13- Wilmington(OH)- Roster size and location are not great, not a great conference so maybe you can sell that
14-Keystone- Football players make up the majority of the roster(of less then 20 guys) is never a great sign. Rinse and repeat program

15 total jobs open with more coming
Guilford is struggling mightily financially. Their athletic department is a disaster. Hopefully for their sake a new permanent AD will eventually right the ship but he's got his work cut out for him.

And not that its dispositive for Coach Z, but there is also this:

Centre College announces new $50 million initiative devoted to wellness and athletic excellence

The largest, most comprehensive construction project to date at Centre College will create a 135,000-square-foot facility devoted to wellness and athletic excellence... Included in the overall construction project, Farris Stadium, built in 1923, will be transformed to provide world-class facilities for football, men’s lacrosse, and track and field, and also provide new seating, hospitality spaces and an upgraded press box.

Impressive, and probably enough to make Zimmerman think twice before leaving Centre. I have no idea how ambitious he is, how much he and his wife like Danville, Kentucky.... He's still young, and my guess is that he'll say all the right things before leaving for a school with a long lacrosse tradition. Of course, I could be wrong.

Position has been part time for years, hiring full time ten month.

Saw that job posting a while ago.

Hearing about (some) financial issues as well and administration does not have their act together.

Full-time gig is good; but will they be able to keep the lights on or give the program time to develop and not cut it :?:

They have been exceeding their projections on the money they are fundraising.

I don't know if the new AD is staying and having the interim tag taken off; whether she does or not, Administration across that campus needs to allocate their finances responsibly and not willy nilly.

Coaches link is dead but they do appear at the end of the roster. Shouldn’t read too much into it...

Euker was Caravana’s top assistant before becoming HC at McDaniel. Zimmerman replaced him. Any thoughts? Could he be/ should he be, on Denison’s short list for consideration as Coach Cs replacement?

That was going to be my question .... is it the coach, the school or both? Anyone have an opinion?

They already hired a new AD
