Won’t matter. Penn is finishing the job.

Penn the better team. UMD just not the #1 team in the country.

Why would Peduzzi ever take that shot?
MD being very out played. They do not have good team speed.

I know there has been some thinking that the Maryland-Michigan game would tell us how good Michigan is.

I’m not so sure it will. Or maybe it will tell us something but not that much.

Dagger, that thirteenth goal for Penn. Penn was really ready for this game, the better team just about the whole way.

Both nationally televised. Now that's a doubleheader!

My only minor complaint is the "Seacoaster spacing" could be better.
Excited for these games tonight!
A Penn win in College Park would really be the icing on the Cake of Parity/Clusterf*ck 2024.
You called it!

WOW Maryland loses....another new number 1 next week. Crazy season!
I guess Essex wont be making an appearance on the board tonight

* Penn's first reg season win over Maryland in 40 years???? is that correct?

Our offense is really easy to defend. Since we are generally less athletic than the good teams we need a crisp, speedy passing offense with skip passes to Leubecker and Edmonson. Instead our passes are slow looping predictable.. and we even drop those lobs. It’s a lazy offense. It’s too late… the offense we need that corresponds with our weaknesses would have needed to be developed pre season and drilled in. Penn has a better game philosophy and blueprint with better players and more disciplined execution.

Knew nothing about this, figured there was some sort of connection going on with that call though. He's good at it, loud and clear, she hears that every time. Pretty cool.
Cuse D just blows me away, they can really just shut teams down for long periods. Loyola looked like a pretty darn good team to me, my first time seeing them. That Cuse D just eventually pretty much shut them down and wore them out. They're just relentless, stay on you and make it very difficult to breathe. Impressive.
Was a good game to be at, nice atmosphere. Loyola fans are great, bring a lot of fire, make a lot of noise, enthusiastic group.
1,200 people there...was pretty electric, felt and sounded like more.

Got a story about father, daughter, and the whistle which I can’t relate. Sorry for the tease, but it was quite funny.

Hot take here. The #1 should be Northwestern. Making Maryland #1 was just so undeserved and showed people were grasping at straws.

I’m fine with Michigan moving to #1, but I’m not fully bought in until I see them play Northwestern on 4-20.

Last win before tonight was in 2007

That game is going to be a 5-3 kinda slugfest. I'll pick blue mainly because I think they are smarter and better coached.

This is why Rosga needs to play. She doesn't have the technical talent that the Mays, Edmondsons and Clevengers have, but she has a great first step and quickness which is exactly what the terps need.

My Penn Girls Win!!! Goodness. Glad they learned from that Michigan loss, who they should've beaten (that game drove me insane). Every year they play Maryland and always lose by 3-4 goals. Finally they beat Maryland since '07. Sorry I don't post often, but had to for this victory. Whoot whoot!

I just haven’t seen much development from these MD offensive players over the years. Leubecker is strong dodger, has great speed, and has been stepping up the last few days, but then has not protected her stick and the ball has died in her stick. She needs to protect her stick better and move the ball quicker. Clevenger has turned into a phenomenal feeder, but she needs to be a dual threat attacker like Cordingley was. That’s when defenses start to get scared. Edmondson is similar to Leubecker. Strong, fast, more physical, and hard dodger, but just hasn’t created that much. May looks good not great and needs to improve her dodging. The three older players look like they’ve taken a step back from the way they played in 2022. MD also lacks any midfielders that can score.
