Political appointees at the Department of Health and Human Services have sought to change, delay and prevent the release of reports about the coronavirus by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention because they were viewed as undermining President Trump’s message that the pandemic is under control.

Michael Caputo, the top HHS spokesman, said in an interview Saturday that he and one of his advisers have been seeking greater scrutiny of the CDC’s weekly scientific dispatches, known as the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, for the past 3½ months. The adviser, Paul Alexander, has sent repeated emails to the CDC seeking changes and demanding that the reports be halted until he could make edits.

The emails, first reported late Friday by Politico, describe the CDC documents, widely known as the MMWR, as being “hit pieces on the administration.” Caputo confirmed the authenticity of the emails.

That $29,000 fine is going to sting. It’s going to set those plants back by at least 3 seconds.

If Miami-Dade suffers from Covid any more, Florida will really turn Republican Red. All the fraud votes can't be cast when no one is around to do the dirty work.

huh?

The CDC shows a 7 day average of 843 as of Sept 5.
Heck, Florida alone had a daily average of 101 as of Sept 5, over 700 deaths that particular week you chose...
They're averaging 109 as of today...

Why would you suggest otherwise?
Did you get that from your QAnon twitter feed, maybe?

Be careful with the math. It might be confusing.

Florida is fine.

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/florida/

3 counties are our only achilles heel.

I don't need to remind anyone here who runs these counties and have for decades.

It is not surprisingly also where all of our voting fraud occurs.

Florida is open for business, folks. C'mon down! The water is warm and the grouper tasty!

hospitalizations in the u.s. have dropped in half since the (2nd) high of 60k in the summer. cases have, too (on a drop in tests, from a high of 800k to 600k).
deaths have made it down from a 7 day average high of just under to 1,200 to 700 plus, so hopefully that may have room to fall just based on what we've seen recently.

still to be seen what the millions of students placed on campuses to begin the fall will have as an effect. one school's dashboard i've been following has had very limited community and staff spread vs a decent amount of students, thankfully.

Our GDP laps Georgia's within 6 months of the calendar year! Those boys got left behind.

Their Governor, Stacey Abrams, isn't too sharp. She's their governor, right? Always complaining about the will of the people
