They were awesome for the Hopkins Penn State, actually called the game, knew who all the players were, let the action speak for itself. No silly banter about haircuts and capri pants or 1991 Heros summer league teams. Outstanding!
+1

They are awesome! And realistically complementary to players when they deserve some recognition...without harping on favorites.
I feel quint is beginning to see the light. Carc... not so much

First I've seen this, could not be done better, brilliantly descriptive.
A++ and two thumbs up for that one. This trio has become beyond
annoying. If I had to put them in order from most to least annoying
I'd go A, C, Q. I wouldn't argue with any other order though.
Agreed “beyond annoying”
... Lax is great, we get it, why does the trio feel the need to constantly “Try Hard”??
And, please please please can they stop w the “Alpha Male” reference??
Cringe worthy
And Carc starting every reference to a player “I had the chance to work out with ....””, and he....”.

Bob Shriver is the Tony Romo of lacrosse announcers; he sees every play before it happens. I'd love to hear him call a college game.

He did a fabulous job at the GEICO showcase.I knew he was a terrific coach but he may be even better in the booth.Hope his agent sends a tape to ESPN.God what refreshing change that would be.

First half of Syracuse/Loyola today.

Anish: "The NCAA tournament starts with an exclamation point. It's like we're speaking Spanish!"

--

Quint: "They haven't won a tournament game since 1988"
Anish: "Yep, that's before Taylor Swift!"

--

Good god Anish.

Loved it when Golic shut Carc up with the SSDM comment that they are like O lineman protecting the QB and not giving up the inside. Carc may have had his feelings hurt that Golic outdid him with something pithy, instead of Carcs typical glomming on to what just happened followed by absolute, beast, and stud.

Carc is the worst. Golic Jr is a pleasure.

He just needs to do a better job preparing by at least knowing how to pronounce the names on the rosters......

The commentators for the Richmond v Duke game were the best I've listened to all weekend. Knowledge of the game and minimal BS comments... Here that Quint, Anish, Booker & Carc ?

I muted the ND-Hop game

Carc is terrible

Zero Content

Terrible 1-liners

Maybe ESPN is prepping him for a job after broadcasting. The entire haircutting thing has been the lamest thing I’ve seen on tv since Fonzie jumped the shark, made even worse by ESPN’s continued use of it and every one of their announcers’ continued mention of it. Juvenile.

ESPN is not impacted by you muting a game. The only way to impact the network decisions to keep using Carc and Anish is to turn off their games entirely while tuning into games (even if you're not watching) that have other guys in the booth. It's hard to do when you crave watching lax; but in the end, are you really watching or are you just ending up being distracted by these guys? Muting does not affect the ratings and ratings rule.

PS - On another note, in my opinion, no game with three guys involved in the booth and/or sidelines is watchable (regardless of the sport; one exception, Monday Night Football with Howard, Dandy Don and Frank ).

Lower ratings for lax will not get guys kicked out of the booth, it will get lax kicked off ESPNx entirely ...

If we're not satisfied with the product ESPN produces there will be alternatives that step up, i.e. LSN, Big Ten Network, CBS Sports Network, possibly Patriot League Network etc. There's no reason why these networks, that have experience with lax programming, can't or wouldn't step up. There's no need to fear ESPN. Time for them to "crap or get off the pot". ESPN is not our "Big Brother" and we as consumers don't have to accept management's view of lax telecasts.

College softball TV ratings blew away the lacrosse TV ratings this weekend. As did Euro rugby and E-sports. Doesn't matter who's announcing.
