Manhattan has hired Jenna Dingler as their new HC (
https://gojaspers.com/news/2019/8/22/di ... coach.aspx). She appears to be a strong hiring
Columbia has added Taylor Pennell as a new assistant (
https://gocolumbialions.com/news/2019/8 ... x?path=lax). Another good hire
Penn has added Nicole Troost as an assistant (
https://www.thedp.com/article/2019/07/p ... sachusetts)
William & Mary has ... done .... nothing. I feel really bad for the returning players and incoming freshman who are starting the school year without a coaching staff. Quite a shame for a once proud and very strong program.

I think I said this before...if they arent going to find the Coach through their "National search" in time, maybe they could appoint the last remaining assistant (McPeake) acting Coach... just sayin'

Is the W&M administration even serious about continuing lacrosse?

It is surprising, maybe even shocking that W&M hasn’t been able to fill that spot. I know nothing other than an incredible school with good facilities, great location, full allotment of scholarships and have been competitive in the not too distant past. Are their issues with administration? Are they just not willing to pay a decent salary?
I believe that St Bonaventure is the only other remaining D1 school still without a head coach. Even Presbyterian just found their head coach last week.
Is there a new coaching tree developing? Found it interesting that the just named Manhattan head coach played at Lock Haven, and she replaced the departed coach, who played at Lock Haven and was recently hired as head coach at Lafayette...both of whom played for the current head coach of Coastal Carolina, while she coached at Lock Haven. Interesting and I’m obviously trying to pass time until fall ball.
Who knows where Lock Haven is without googling it? Guessing Delco does.

Lock Haven is a Pennsylvania state school in the central part of the state. Their women’s lacrosse program is DII, I think most of their other sports are as well, although men’s wrestling may be DI. Other PA DII women’s lacrosse programs include West Chester (Cindy Timchal’s alma mater), East Stroudsburg and Indiana University of PA (IUP) - I may have missed a few.

Actually you missed a few - the PSAC conference has 13 women's lacrosse teams. Lock Haven is one of them with one of the most interesting fields - backs up to a mountain.
Used to be a top 10 program in DII, but it has fallen on somewhat hard times lately...

there are 14 PSAC schools now in WLax. Added shepard for 2020. Split into East and West of 7 teams each.

I hear the St. Francis Pa. head coach resigned and took an assistant's position at Fresno.

Good, they needed that.
Unless the administration makes a real commitment to WLax….this program will continue to flounder and spiral downward. Sad because some outstanding players played at the school and they had a lot of success under Feffie Barnhill.

And it's a great academic school. Should be very attractive to recruits if they can get their house in order.

What would a "real commitment" look like in your opinion? The program is, I think, fully funded. Outside of that and providing support for the staff and players, what else is required for a real commitment?
