Military coup in Niger sealed this deal as we did not back the coupsters but, rather, the democratically elected government they overthrew. Identical situation with French troops who have also left the country under same conditions.
Let the UN handle it. I thought peace keeping missions were what they were all about?
Military junta in charge would rather pitch in with the Rooskies who mirror their repressive/autocratic governance. Birds of a feather flock together, you know.

Rooskies are happy to be there so they can begin sucking natural resources including gold and other minerals.

I bet these are probably some of the Rooskies best soldiers. The soldiers they are dedicating to combat in Ukraine are textbook examples of cannon fodder.

Wagner Group mercenaries, Cradle....not regular troops. Also make it easier for Vlad the skim profits off the top.

TY, I had forgotten about those bumpkins of Wagner group. Soldiers willing to fight for money don't worry about the rules.

EU Naval assets in the Red Sea escorted a damaged/burning Greek-flagged oil tanker in the Red Sea to a safe location.

Sailor Saltine will be so disappointed to hear that NATO/EUroburgher flagged naval assets are participating in a significant fashion with USN assets in the Red Sea.
