Was at the game, will need to watch the replay. Canto was incredible, he did save the game and Woodall was just as good at the x. Obviously a lot to work on offensively. Sunday needs some help and I know Maloof and Brody McLean are capable, but struggled shooting it tonight. Well, McLean struggled more with turnovers. I didn't think we'd win with 17 turnovers, but they had 16. Some of them on the clears, but a lot of unforced errors by both teams. And Koby Smith is a stud.

Would've gone with you if I lived down there, Math, was a good one to be at.
Lot of talk on the shot clock thread about a lot of TOs, which is attributable to the clock.
Lot of those TOs were early in possessions and unforced, both teams struggled with not giving the ball away.

Looking back, this is the 3rd year that TU has beaten both Hopkins and Loyola in the same season - 1992 and 1996...looks like this is the first year we have beaten both teams at home.

Third quarter, for both teams, was a mess. Tigers went almost 25 minutes without a score - 2 shots saved and 6 turnovers.

Canto - if he is the #2, we are in pretty good shape in the cage.

Woodall - No longer The Big Cat...now The Beast. A healthy Woodall can take this team far, see '17 as the example.

This year's rope unit may not be as good as Goodrich, Adams and Mayes, but Goodrich, McClean and Wilkerson are doing impressive work in-between the lines.

The defensive unit is currently ranked #6 in the country, very impressive considering how low our national rankings are in caused turnovers, man down and clearing.

Offensively, the team seems to have adjusted to the clock and up-temp play. Woodall (2g3a) and Smith (2g3a) are legitimate threats in transition.

57% of our shots are on goal, with 30% going in...averaging 45 shots per game. 55 goals, 31 assists, on 30%. :o

Sunday is the real deal - he has the ability to bomb like Seider and dodge/feed like Drenner - he is making others better, while bringing the senior leadership when required.

Tigers get a nice break before playing Jacksonville on 3/8 and then Cornell on 3/10. Great preparation for CAA championship weekend. Then off to Duke, followed by Denver.

It was announced during the game broadcast that Brennan is now #2. He’s healthy but not making the change.

Great crowd at the game last night. Cheers to Towson and Loyola fans. Woodall is a beast as we knew going in. Hard to mount a comeback against a good team when you can't get the ball. Your Goalie made some really impressive stops and sealed the win for you but he had a smothering defense that was super aggressive helping him out. Keep playing like that and you'll be playing in late May. Just hope we are in different brackets if the teams play again.

I was at the game, so can't comment on the commentator....not sure that Brennan is even dressing for practice.

not sure if anyone else noticed but how in the heck was Woodall getting right at the crease for his shots?!!? Shouldn't the point man on defense take him at the top and make him pass?? If that dude would just tweak his stick or shot to bounce the shot 2 feet further, he would have scored 3 or 4 goals in the last 5 minutes by himself! I will say he is one fast dude for a guy his size (big). Very impressive.......Which brings up the point again of why didn't Towson hold the ball longer till the full 80 seconds at the 4-5 min. mark? Even if you gave the ball back and they scored, with such a hot FOGO, you would have gotten the ball back and ran another full 80 secs off the clock at worst. time was on towson's side but they were giving the ball back way to early and giving Loyola a chance. If i was Loyola, I would almost give you an open shot so that I had a chance of getting the ball back instead of chasing you around the field with time running out.

Suspect Toomey told them to hold on the attack and force Woodall to make a shot. There is no tweaking a fogo stick, they get bent in to pretzels...half of these guys don't even a shooting string. The fact they can get the ball out and make a reasonable looking pass, while sprinting away from a beating, is remarkable enough.

Agreed - they should have done that, some of the decisions made and shots taken, weren't advisable.

Offering up an open net wouldn't solve the problem - there is no requirement to go to the goal or "keep it in".

It could easily have gone the other way....

That was a great crowd.
Announced as 2,500.

Woodall was so dominant that Wilkerson, the Towson lsm, took every wing but one according to my count.

Just popping in to say hell of a win. Watched the webcast; Towson played outstanding. Not sure I've ever seen the kind of dominance at faceoff before that Towson enjoyed in the second half.

Well deserved ranking! Saw the team practice prior to season and was really impressed. Heard the same from friends who saw them scrimmage. Not surprised to see them perform so well. Think TU is as complete a team as there is. Good luck the rest of the way!

About time to stop using the word UPSET when discussing who beat who/whom(?). Great to see some new blood, biting the "old guard" in the kiester once in a while.

I get being excited about your team, but Nadalen has to be ticked about the half page ad the Towson athletic department took out in the Baltimore Sun tooting their own horn.
Nothing like giving every team on their schedule bulletin board material. And nothign like counting your chickens before they're hatched.

10 turnovers in the 4th qtr. is not good. But Jax seems to play w most programs. Credit to them. Move on ! Weather was ugly

@mr3putt very very sloppy, but that seems to be the game Towson excels at most. we win sloppy battles, and we make exceptional teams (Not Jacksonville) play sloppy.

Got to put teams away up 6 in the fourth but we'll take it. Weather affected both teams, maybe slowed down Woodall some and it sounded like Canto was struggling in the second half. Just needed the win but the 20 turnovers are partially due to weather and a problem the team has had all year but has won despite them.
