Don't know how much of it is related to Cuomo. Syracuse put into place some really stringent mask/social-distancing/anti-party rules into place for students. They were also one of the first schools to tie violations of their COVID policies to student misconduct processes. Not every school in NY does what Cuse does on that front.
I know several folks in cuse 2020 class-students non lacrosse+they partied all through corona until school was suspended, went on spring break, came back and partied during graduation all at cuse. Obviously you'd think that scholarship athletes are heavily protected by the administration there so they must have had some intense ragers and or someone got seriously ill for this to happen.

Wont comment on the students you know but Syracuse has been very diligent and strict which is eflected in their low numbers of cases especially on their sports team including lacrosse.

my cousins are cuse legacies whose parents met at cuse and secured a fulltime jobs in finance and the attitude of him, his parents, fraternity pals and that cuse community was "we're students and this does not affect us"so they did spring break, home for a bit and back to cuse to party through graduation and knowing that generation it was all posted online so I'm more surprised we haven't seen more of this stuff happening.

US Lacrosse Magazine did a feature on him a week or two ago and stated that he would've gone there this fall if it wasn't for the pandemic. Also, and worth point out, he's going to Albany Law School. It's an independent institution with its parent school being Union College. It does have some sort of partnership with UAlbany.

CDC changed its 14 day period to 7 days when it is proven that the person in question is asymptomatic. 14 days remains the threshold at any other time.

I have lost a great friend and Syracuse University has lost one of its all-time greatest ambassadors. Floyd Little brought a smile to the face of everyone he encountered. Juli and I send our condolences to DeBorah and Floyd’s family.

Can I just vote for Duke & Cuse as both #1 to start the year for MLax? They'll play each other likely multiple times to sort it out, anyway. But Cuse last year plus Duke's potential via additions makes it practically a coin flip.

What a tweet. I get it, it's gonna be tough to pick #1 between those two teams, but you have to pick 1. Or not participate in voting at all. Having ties in individual top 20 ballots is like giving participation trophies.

Cuseman, I hear you and... I think SU is being overrated.

Lol, like there’s some massive difference between #1 and #2. It’s one spot. Just pick whoever you think is slightly better

Does Conwell know which players might be suspended by the school? I think he does. Does he know the result of the appeals?

I think he's a Syracuse fan, so there's that.

If the suspensions are as bad as was rumored; they'd drop out of the top 10. even without it I still would probably rank em 3 behind Duke and Maryland, but you could make an argument for 2. Their roster isn't better than Duke's though

So what is happening with the players in question should be decided on either this or next week. No one knows yet what the school will decide. I'm not going to speculate as to what the decision will be, but I know some parents back before the news broke officially were pretty worried for the kids in question. I've heard everything from a 5 game suspension, to full semester suspension, to maybe having it worked out and there won't be any suspensions. SO IT'S ALL OVER THE PLACE. I know what happened but I actually don't know "who" is involved officially" as I never wanted to ask although I probably could have haha. I know 1 guy that is definitely not involved on the first midfield line, but no word one way or another on if the other two on that line are safe or at risk. Sorry to be cryptic, I just don't want to out anyone that has passed information on to me, nor do I want to mention kids. Granted they are college kids, but they are still kids and this isn't college football or basketball haha.

You guys all speculating that it could potentially be really bad, there is that possibility. So let's see what the next 10 days brings us. I'm told that it should be decided on officially by "mid January", but that it could go as late as next week at some point.

Brutal. Probably be publicly caned by the NYS gestapo but then allowed back in uniform whenever Syracuse starts practicing.

What day or week that is what I'd like to know.

Any schedule yet out from any ACC team?

Pretty sure that's what LaxFactor means by "full roster."

It's still sort of cryptic but looking like they've been cleared according to posts on the SUForum?

Hopefully LaxFactor KNOWS!
